Final Fantasy XIII-2

So they released two screenshots the other day, a little teaser which hinted at more open world (thank god!) and the battle system seems to be the same. I want to know what you guys think this game will turnout to be, i really hope it will be more open world and the story will be a bit better.

Either way I'll buy it. I'm a Square Enix whore like that, so yeah. It looks good though, and from what I've read it'll be more open and expansive.

i never even played XIII. it looked like it sucked. maybe because i'm stubborn and don't like Final Fantasies that don't stand up to VII.

It was a GREAT game, after about 25 hours. Before that though, it's cringe worthy, boring, and repetitive. If you give it a try and manage to get through the extended intro, it's actually very enjoyable.

I haven't finished the first game, FFXIII, as I only got it a couple months ago and still had little time to play it. Though now I've gotten myself to Chapter 11, I'm just leveling up my characters. The game exceeded my expectations, though I still don't think it's up there with Final Fantasy classics like 7 and 8. Sort of how like people can love the "new Eminem" as much as the "old Eminem" but realize the old one is so classic and better. Gnomesaying. Hopefully the sequel doesn't suck as much as FFX's sequel, that Charlie's Angels shit was horrid. Nevertheless, I'm going to wait a couple months after it's release and buy it.


@Chet, you should get it. It's a pretty good game and I know your ass has a PS3. It's around $25.

Got to Chapter 11, tried leveling up my characters and then my PS3 died a month ago. I'll get it repaired soon. (40GB beast, and I don't wanna buy a new one- need my saves) That said, I'm defo buying it. FFXIII is a good game, I just found that at times it felt very empty.

No doubt the first 9 chapters are empty, and the story failed to engage me, but overall through the innovative gameplay, the nice soundtrack, not of the usual standard, i found it to be a very nice game, ruined by those 'JRPG' fans with their constant criticisms. Anyway im definitely purchasing FFXIII as im not a Square whore, but a Final Fantasy whore.

I'm a bit of a Square whore. Or more exactly, a Final Fantasy whore and a Kingdom Hearts whore. Man, I'm still waiting on Final Fantasy Versus XIII. I want KH3, dammit.
