finaly, some people who know who RA is and apreciate him..

I'd say rakims best song would be "Paid in full" that song there changed hip hop for ever, also "microhone fiend" and "I know u got soul"

My personal favourites:

"know your ledge"
"wats on your mind"
"Stay awile"
"mystery"
"mahogany"
"its the R"

damn he got too many good songs its hard to choose.

6. Kanye West(tied)
6. Proof(tied)
4. 50 Cent
3. Stat Quo
2. Lloyd Banks
1. Eminem

That was sooooooooooooooo hard...u dont even fucking understand. Stat Quo is #3 because he hasn't had a cd out and i havent heard that many songs by him as much as i had for Lloyd Banks. it could change in a hearbeat depending on Statlanta.

10. Young Jeezy
9. The Game
8. Nas
7. Notorious B.I.G.
6. Jay-Z
6. 2 Pac
4. Kanye West
3. Dr. Dre
2. DMX
1. Eminem

The postion between 1 & 2 could be easily switched as I love both of them equally. I think the hardest part of making the list is the end of it.... I was hesitent to put Jeezy at 10 but I really like his album but that could be switched with Chamillionaire; I love his CD

I cant stress that enough, rakim has the most amazing rhyming technique and it is him that made hip hop wat it is... on my list, i simply cant place him any other artist simply cause its him the mastered tha craft.

OK first of all who I can and cannot like whoever I want, thus making them the best to me. Don't tell me because of what I like I have to go and read a hip hop book or something.... You have to read a preference book or something. Just cause i don't put some people on that you think I should put on doesn't mean that I should redo my list. These are the people that I like. I have no problem with you disagreeing but to go and say that I should read a hip hop book because of my choices is just plain ignorant. I love Rakim and think he is a great artist but I didn't feel that he was on my list at the time. My list is always changing in my head, thats who I was feeling at the time. No problem with not agreeing just don't dis my Hip/hop intelligence man.

oh and snoop dogg is now replacing Kanye West...... forgot all about the D O double G.... Doggystlye Snoop
