Brenda's got a baby - 2011

Postby stillmatic » Jun 11th, '11, 02:55

I post this as what Tupac talked about 20 years a go is still very much relevant in our society today. Plus I know the director, Stephen Prewitt who's a cat out of Ohio and talented as fuck. Dope video.

One of the best songs ever written, not just in hip hop.I can't say that I litteraly can relate to the words but the pain and the feeling of being in a dark place are always something that opens your eyes.

I love the video for the original too, it's made by the Hughes brothers who are big time Hollywood directors now (Menace II Society, Dead Presidents, The Book of Eli) and the use of certain cuts and making it in black and white makes it so legit.

Shame they had to fall out with Tupac after he beat them up, Tupac would have been PERFECT as O-Dog on Menace II Society as it was originally planned ahead of fucking Larenz Tate.

I don't know the situation at all, can you explain it? The link says that the Hughes Brothers claim that Tupac didn't touch any of them, but that he sent people.
