Does Anybody Else Feel Pain From Their Dreams

I hope i'm not the only one here but....

When i dream, whatever happens in my dream, happens in real life pretty much, and it hurts like fuck

Last night i got hit by a truck in my dream, smacked my back agains a wooden fence post, instantly woke up from it and my back hurts like hell, like it litterally hurts to walk and shit, but this is't a rare occasion.

I'v had dreams where i hit my head in my dream, woke up with a headache, or one time, i beat the shit out of somebody in my dream, woke up and my hand was in serious pain, this shit fucking sucks.

then here comes some serious shit,

I used to live with some scary ass people, when i lived in New York, i was dating this girl who's mom scared the fuck outta me, threatend to kill me and shit, which is why i left, and then past roomates and a stalker, so i have weird nightmares that for some reason i end up living with them again, i wake up from them with my heart racing a million miles an hour and my chest hurts like hell.

not to mention, every fuckin night i sleep i have at least 2 or 3 nightmares that i'm going back to jail or i have police chasing me, which again, i wake up with my heart racing a million miles an hour, my chest ends up in alot of serious pain from this, which is also why i don't ever sleep much.

does anybody else have this shit happen to them?

So unfortunately they do not feel pain from my dreams.

That's strange man, i get a few dreams where i'm just punching the shit out of somebody's face, somebody that pissed me off sometime in the past, in these dreams i go into like a blind rage type thing where i do not let up, my dreams scare the hell out of me which is why i sometimes don't sleep at all, cuz my past comes back to fuckin haunt me in my dreams.

It's the other way around. You don't feel pain in real life because you got hurt in your dreams, you get hurt in your dreams because you feel pain in real life. You were probably sleeping wrong or something. It's like when you have a dream that you fell off a cliff or something and then you wake up on the floor cause you fell off your bed.

The human body cannot register pain in a dream. If your mind processes pain in a specific location, your body would awaken. If you actually wake up due to pain, there is some medical/psychical explanation.

I got kicked in the balls in a dream once and it hurt like hell. I woke up and there was no pain though (thankfully )

the mind is strong enough so that it could actually inflict physical pain from just a thought.

some people even develop that as a sickness, where they can convince the mind that they are sick and they get sick, just like that.

it can be on both ways, like class said... concious/un-consious pain manifesting into physical forms, or actual extreme brain activity while sleep. both of them can actually inflict physical pain. I know this, cuz I took a course about this.

Its really true, some people when they dream about something like a punch on their stomach or something like that can actually wake up and have that stomach pain for the whole day, yes, just beacuse the mind was strong enough to cause nerves and more complicated stuff to do it... however there is also this, sleeping wrong thing that can influence the dream by incorporating real time pains...

and lucid dreams are possible, but not like you guys think. it has a lot to do with R.E.M. levels n shit, but thats waaayyy to complicated.

hey dude, i once watched a movie that sounds like your situation. no, not nightmare on elm street... although maybe it is. lol just kidding.

anyway, do you get nose bleeds a lot or once in a while? cuz that could be the problem, u have a tumor in your brain. go see a doctor. that could be causing the nightmares every single night. hope that helps.

also it might be your bed and it might not be. if you wake up unable to move your arm, it's your bed. it's so uncomfortable you toss and turn and you end up on your arm, waking up in the middle of the night cuz you lost the cirulation in your arm. it freaked me out. but i got a new bed after it happened like 3 times. well, asking people about it.
