Watch The Throne Coming July 4th/Evidence it'll rock

http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.1 ... n-big-sean

It was rumored, bot now it's confirmed: 2.5 weeks till Watch The Throne!

I got together all the Jay/Ye collabs, and damn, if this album somehow isn't awesome, I'll be amazed.

Never Let Me Down
Diamonds From Sierra Leone
Monster
So Appalled
Run This Town
Hate
Swagga Like Us
Never Change (sort of, Ye doesn't rap, just does the hook)
The Bounce
H.A.M.
Go Hard (from a Khaled album, with T-Pain)

Key:
Great meaningful/lyrical songs
Great bravado/cocky tracks
Same as above, but #1 single level tracks, great for radio

H.A.M. is the only bad track they've both been on. And it isn't even HORRIBLE, it's just pretty boring verses on a cheap Lex beat. Go Hard isn't my favorite just cause it's more generic and is a Khaled-type song, but it's one of my favorite Khaled songs. It's dope.

and this isn't including all the crazy Jay songs produced by Kanye. Damn, making this list has me so excited for WTC, Hell THe Sequel was dope, but all these songs beat it easily. Kanye/Jay disco > BME disco (including BME's old shit).

Oh fuck YES!!!

And yeah I agree, Jay and 'Ye usually make magic together, though HAM is bad, as is Hate, in my opinion

I've got really high hopes for this though, 2 and a half weeks away, damn!

Actually neither Jay or Kanye have annouced this publicly yet, I'm not getting my hopes up until then :zipped:
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael

You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide

As much as i would LOVE to see this come out as soon as July 4th I can't help but doubt it :/
We have just about no information at all about it n it's kinda frustrating that neither kanye or Jay have said a thing about it! Then again lots of sites are sayin the same thing about this date..

With these bullshit hands we're dealt,

Nice.

I've nearly overplayed Hell: The Sequel now, but definitely will have by then. So glad I'll have a new dose of something before I get too distracted and end up all sorts of places I shouldn't.

I'd much rather a solo Hov album with Kanye production, but I can't wait for this either, but mostly looking for a return to form from Hov, who did pick up last year on the Kanye tracks after the horrible 2009 he had with wack features, an average album and an attitude as bad as any seen in hip hop.

Btw. I don't know what great for radio means, but Run this Town is arguably the worst Hov song I'v ever heard. I hated Swagga like us as well, minus Hov's verse.

My predicton is WTT will be better, but HTS will have my favourite track (The Reunion). The Reunion and Fast Lane are the only songs I've been giving heavy play, so it won't be hard for Yeezy and Jay to top it, especially if Yeezy's produces at least 6/7 of the tracks.

Hate was one of the worst songs I've ever heard.

It has it's catchy parts, but it's just terrible as a song.

LMAO!!!!!!! Kanye/Jay ain't shit compared to Old BME

I won't start any debate here because it's a good and interesting thread.

But the new BME isn't that bad and i'll give my left foot if all the critics don't praise and overrate this next EP.

I'm sure that overall, HTS will be better than this even though they will have dope songs.. We'll see though. It's not impossible that i'll like more WTT.

Everyone has different standards.

Radio standards = Catchy hook, dope beat, and good flows/delivery overall, not a boring track.

Stillmatic, what did you think of the BME Ep dude?

I'm expecting the album to have excellent beats but Blueprint 3 level verses from Jay, meaning most of the songs to be bad lyrically speaking.

I'm going with expectations as low as possible. That being said, Jay and Ye do have a good track record of collabos.

I haven't heard it yet, don't cop leaks personally from artists I really like. Will pick it up sometime this week with the Tech n9ne album. Only heard Fast Lane and the Mike Epps track so far, and liked Fast Lane for what it is and didn't really feel the 'On everything' track at all, Em's voice and delivery on it is unbearable.

The Blueprint 3 sucked. Kanye's last album was decent.
How can you say the Diamonds From Sierra Leone Remix was decent?
Kanye spit conscience lyrics...then Jay came in talking about chains.
I expect great production with verses that don't quite match up.
It really sounds like your just trying to over hype this to outshine BME.
