parents carrying guns

Postby ek_iz_backk » Apr 22nd, '06, 22:11

should all parents be allowed to have guns in their houses, they would be protecting their families from robberies, criminals, and what about have a gun it would alsobbe leaving it out in the open for their lil kids to pick and go outside to have sum fun(massacre shooting)

I don't think it's a good idea, since there were some stupid events with kids playin with daddy's guns. They don't understand how dangerous it can be and there's always risk that some irresponsible mum or dad will leave the gun in an inappropriate place.. And kids have a tendency to play with dangerous objects - knives, axes [yeah, I know it from autopsy :8) ] or whatever..

And of course there's problem of bigger kids, who wanna show their friends how cool they are and they walk around with a gun, trying to act gangsta and then *bang*.. :confusion:

^ Yeah, I know. But if people wanna have gun, then why not - if they think it's necessary.. But then u have to think that ur responsible for it and u cannot just leave it on ur desk or wherever.. And if u have kid it's even more important to keep him or her away.. :sweating:

i say hell yes its a good thing.

i mean, the us constitution gives u the right to bare arms..... a man has the god given right to protect his family, his property, and himself. that right should not be taken away......

and as far as little kids gettin into..... if u have a gun, i feel that its very important u teach ur child the importance of gun safety at a young age...... i mean, u have to be a parent and take time and explain things to them, but u should hide it, or keep it in a safe place outta reach until theyr old enough to know wat it is and wat it does and not to play with it......

most of the time, wen gun accidents happen with children, its becus the parents were careless and left the gun sumwere the kid could find it....

I think there was a topic like this already but watever..

The thing is, if u and the robber own a gun the robber is more tempted to shoot u, because he knows u prolly have a gun, sometimes its best just to let the robber take something of urs then taking his life and putting yours at greater risk as well.

But America has their own mentality and you guys are already use to the way it is, there is no way to change it, only if doing it step by step. I for one am against people owning guns coz i've seen countries survive perfectly without them even with high crime rates.

As for kids and their parents having guns, i dont think the kid has to actually has to know that his parents have a gun, makes him less tempted. Its best kept in a safe place, locked somewere if possible.

well... i mean... its america... we just like to shoot hit i guess  but ya, thats just fine and dandy with a robber... but wat about a killer? r u just suposed to let him kill u?

and if u dont tell the kid about the gun, hes not gonna know wat it is... so hell just stumble upon it and accidentally blow his brains out..... not a big deal... right?

U havent even tried to understand wat i ment.

A killer will wait till u are unarmed anyway, not like ur gonna have time to run for ur weapon, even if u do, the fact that he knows u might get a weapon already makes him more stressed about letting u go. Individual cases are different, im talking about it in general.

and if u dont tell the kid about the gun, hes not gonna know wat it is... so hell just stumble upon it and accidentally blow his brains out..... not a big deal... right?

As i saaid, parents should keep it safe, dont tell me a grown person doesnt know how to hide shit. Telling ur kid about the gun, only makes him more interested in it, its just how kids are.

its not that i didnt try to understand u... im not fuckin illiterate.... but no killer is gonna wait and see if u got a weapon... if sum psycho like charlse manson gos into ur house and wants to kill u for no reason, i frankly doubt hes nagotiating to himself if hes gonna let u live becus ur unarmed..... people who kill people have no mercy... they wont take pitty on u if u r unarmed......

thats all im sayin

Im talking statistics and mentallity, wat i said was Charles manson would have a whole different mentality if he knew that nobody else owned weapons, chances are, he would be less tempted to shoot u..

there are two sides to the story... im talking about a way to change the way people think and unarming people of this era to make next generations less intersted in violence, ur taking a stance at encouraging more weapons... a civilised society isnt a warzone, the more people are gonna be taught the eye for an eye mentality the more people are gonna be blind as time goes.

As i said, i dont think it should change but a little controll to be inforced is of benefit.
