em seems to like new artists (in the stream with royce they talk about upcoming artist, during the 20 seconds he is serious), so to do the song with an unknown artist is something em was probably planning from the start.
If he did the song with gaga, the music video would invlove lots of homosexual dancers and Em wearing a mankini, so yeah... that wouldnt have worked. Besides, em would lose a lot of respect for doing a song with a lady/mr. gaga.
