Hell: The Sequel is awesome.

Yes.

You guys may have noticed that I've been overly negative towards Eminem's new music & some of you may have even disliked me 'cause of it. lol

Recently I've had an enlightenment: new Eminem is NOT bad.

Look at some of the most famous rappers out today: Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy, Waka Flocka Flame... :facepalm
I've always been the type of person to prefer music over lyrics. These guys don't make good music, Em does.
He may sound a bit hoarse & his punchlines may suck at times, but he makes good music. GREAT in fact.

And speaking of lyrics, I honestly think they are getting better and better by the day. The EP has some genuinely funny & clever lines.

What I'm getting at here is THIS:

Eminem is a still a good rapper.
Royce is also a good rapper.
Together they make great music, maybe not as good lyrically as their previous stuff, but great nonetheless.

The EP flows amazingly up until 'A Kiss', and more importantly, 'Lighters'.
They should've replaced those 2 songs with 'Echo' & 'Living Proof' & put them as bonus tracks.

The production on the EP is banging. Definitely one of the best produced releases of 2011 so far.
Hope he takes a similar approach with his next album.

Anyway, Em's having fun again & I'm happy for him.
And I'll definitely be happy if everything he puts out after this EP is as good as the EP.

What was the point of this thread? I have no fucking idea.

in that case, Ye makes amazing MUSIC :flutter: He doesn't have the most vicious lyrics but he makes amazing music.. imagine Eminems lyrics on MBDTF(example), wouldn't fit.

Am I the only person who does like lighters? I do agree that it doesn't really fit on the mixtapes compared to every single other song because they have darker sounds and different subjects, but it isn't that big a deal to me.

Lighters rocks. One of my favourite songs on the EP. And I don't give a fuck if it "doesn't fit".

Lighters is fucking awkward. Can't even listen to it without feeling weird. EM AND ROYCE don't sound like they belong on the track, it's not even because it doesn't fit with the other songs. It's that the rappers themselves don't even fit.

If A Kiss and The Reunion were the last two songs they recorded...that could be a good sign.

It was in the Complex magazine. Either Em, Royce or Mr. Porter said it.
