Blows now. It's seriously gotten horrible. Awful. There is little to no good discussion going on. I've tried to make good threads that get good discussion going, but it gets old. The Hip Hop forum used to be bumping, it's practically dead now. Big albums and news aren't even discussed (Lil Wayne retiring, Finally Famous being incredibly bad, etc.). Backstage is by far the most active, outside of Stans in Eminem. I honestly DGAF how any of you like your steaks or what you pick in "This or That".
Reasons The Forum Blows Now
-The 20 Post Rule: This needs to be abolished, or greatly lowered. Have you all noticed it's the same members over and over? When was the last time we got a real dope, insightful new member? Months. Who the hell is gonna make 20 posts that take hours to get approved when there are many other forums where it's instant? I understand it prevents trolls/spam, but I'd take spam and some trolls AND dope new members over the forum just sucking.
-The admin: They're way too legalistic and into this. Some are cool, some I honestly believe moderating an Eminem forum will be the highlight of their lives.
I've been banned from here 3 times (was just unbanned yesterday). Le's examine my bans.
1st ban: Made by Chet Starr. Crime? I called him a douche. That was literally it. Length of ban? Permanent. Result? Emady made him unban me.

I was banned after sending that last message. Yep. Banned over a PM. According to the rules, I should have been banned from the board. Nope, got banned from the whole forum.
3rd ban: Made by Chet Starr. Crime? "More childest name calling" (yes, childest). I looked at my posts, because I hadn't even been arguing with anyone. Only possible offending post: I said whatever admin moved a 50 cent thread to the GUnit subforum, where no one reads, was a cocksucker (followed by actual thoughtful input). I didn't even know who moved it until I went back and looked. the admin? Chet. I'm banned for 2 weeks. Oh well. I honestly don't care, I've never argued with Chet outside of admin-related ish, but c'mon the forum's hurting man.

Now, sure I may technically have violated some rules. But any time I post an insult, it always along with actual content, I never post an insult as the entire body of my post. These rules are violated literally every day to no admin action. I'm obviously a contributing member with good (or at least debatable) input. I've never said anything racist, posted graphic images, etc. I've seen many bands like this. Class sucks, but no way should he be banned for a picture calling Mexicans fags. C'mon. At least he helps keep this place alive.
-All the subforums/the admin who use them. There are far to many subforums, this isn't 2005, no one cares about G Unit. Also, admin need to stop moving shit. Like, Lil Wayne's "How To Love" was put in General Music. Is it technically a rap song? No. Is it good? No, it blows. However, it's by a damn rapper, it's on a rap album, it belongs in Hip Hop for no other reason than to hate on it. Should we move Cudi's non-rap shit? Of course not. This was nothing more than an admin going "LOL! look I'm cool, I can subtlely say Weezy's not hiphop by moving this! LOL!"
-Locking, why do it? Even if a thread's taken offtopic, it's no more useful locked instead of idiots (me included) rambling. At least that can be entertaining. Eh, not a big issue though.

I'll still be here, but not nearly to the extent I was, at least until the forum improves/changes. I used to use this as basically RapRadar. Pretty much any artist I cared about had their news posted here almost instantly along with good input. Now? Not at all. I've checked out Kanyetothe, it's lightyears ahead of TR right now. Better musical taste (epecially outside of rap).
