Encore - The Most Hated Album

Postby Man1x » Jul 6th, '11, 16:38

Okay I know everyone on here hates encore but there has to be bright sides to it. Personal I like like toy soldiers, mockingbird, one shot 2 shot, love you more, we as Americans. Please give opinions. I would also like to know what you thing are the worst tracks lyrically and the best lyrically. The best rhyme patterns and the worst. And of course the worst and best beats. Every track is open for discussion, bonus tracks too. Also leave details on hat you think would have made it better.

This album doesn't have any "best rhyme patterns". Outside of Spend Some Time and Yellow Brick Road, no.

here comes masterchief conforming to popular opinion as always....

2. "Evil Deeds" not bad
3. "Never Enough" decent
4. "Yellow Brick Road" good
5. "Like Toy Soldiers" (featuring Martika) good
6. "Mosh" good
7. "Puke" eh...
8. "My 1st Single" decent
9. "Paul" (skit)
10. "Rain Man" eh...
11. "Big Weenie" eh...
12. "Em Calls Paul" (skit)
13. "Just Lose It" lol
14. "Ass Like That" lol
15. "Spend Some Time" (featuring Obie Trice, Stat Quo and 50 Cent) good
16. "Mockingbird" good
17. "Crazy In Love" good
18. "One Shot 2 Shot" (featuring D12) decent
19. "Final Thought" (skit)
20. "Encore" (featuring Dr. Dre and 50 Cent) gay

overall it's about as good as recovery. on a song by song basis. the only difference is it came after TES instead of relapse..... and it came during a time when eminem had proven himself as a lyrical genius. instead of a time when everyone just wanted him back
if you go platinum it's got nothin to do with luck, it just means that a million people are stupid as fuck.

Mockingbird is good? Evil deeds is not bad? One Shot 2 Shot is decent? Big Weenie and Rain man are ehh? MY 1st FUCKING Single is DECENT?

Go hang yourself. I bet you think Encore is as good as Recovery because it "oozes in personality and prupose" which is the basis which you use to judge rap music. Lmao. You think GOAT is actually a good song so I guess that's all we need to know.

And no, I'm not conforming to popular opinion, I'm just not a dipshit who actually thinks this album is anything beyond "bad". You're a moron for the simple fact of comparing this to Recovery.

Evil Deeds had amazing potential, the beat is perfect as an opener after the Eminem Show and at times Em gets it on point, but at others he's just too lazy, like inventing up words to rhyme with. Overall I still think it's a decent song.

Never Enough, boring as shit. Despite the fact he keeps the same rhyme all the way through that actually manages to make it more boring. 50's verse is just pure shit.

Yellow Brick Road is great, so is Like Toy Soldiers. Mosh is decent. Puke I don't mind but I can see why people don't like it.

My First Single Em sounds bored as shit and the song means nothing. Rain Man for some reason I still enjoy, I dunno it might be his delivery. Big Weenie, shit.

Just Lose It, wank. Ass Like That, funny when I was 13 but not now.

Spend Some Time, overall a pretty boring song. Mockingbird is too depressing for me.

Crazy In Love I think is a bit underrated, the lyrics are pretty good. One Shot 2 Shot, most boring D12 track. And Encore I actually still think is pretty decent.

I still stand by my 3-4/10 rating for this album. It has it's highlights but they don't shine brighter than the average tracks and complete shit moments while the final result ends up "Below-Average". The only really memorable songs from Em are parts of Yellow Brick Road, the bonus tracks & the Spend Some Time verse. This whole thing is basically taking the worst possible aspects of Em's music at the time and condensing it into a full length album. What the fuck kind of "Encore" is that? I'm satisfied with how it ended though, I would kill myself at the end of that performance too.

I haven't replayed a single song from this album in atleast half of a year other than to write a snarky review of Ass Like That.

technically Like Toy Soldiers is a shitty track, and that whole beef talk is played out, implying Em ever been one of those gun talk rappers,Mosh is a bad track too,Em should stay away from politics,Yellow Brick Road is the one of the 3 good tracks from Encore, and it is because Em attempted story telling and he did good, track could have been a TES leftover for all its worth,Never Enough,Ass Like That,Just Lose It,Rain Man,Big Weenie,Puke,My 1st single are shit, lol @ lello saying they are funny, how can you laugh at them.

One Shot 2 Shot and Encore are the other 2 tracks i can stand from the album, but they are average tracks.

i guess thats the downside of being a hiphop head right. nothing is subjective anymore cause you look at everything in an objective manner and how well it compares to the work of others.

there are songs on recovery that are unlistenable to me. just like there are on encore. each album has 2-4 songs that have any real impact, with some others that aren't bad. Recovery and Encore are comparable and they are very close at the bottom of my chart.

purpose in hip hop combined with lyricism, is there something wrong with my criteria?

you retard.
