Relapse = Recovery

Each album is good for what it is.

I honestly can say Relapse because it has a dark vibe, better beats and I love his voice on it.
But I also can say Recovery because it's "uplifting" and GTC, 25 to Life, Space Bound, Cold Wind Blows are classics. On Fire is great, So bad too.

You see? I can't honestly chose which one I prefer. :unsure:

I stand by my opinion when I say Relapse and Encore should have never happened.

However, I do agree with the guy that made the point of if relapse never happened then we wouldn't have the horrorcore songs. Other than that, it should have never happened.

I love how everyone went against the OP back then but if we had the same thread happen today, half of the people would agree.

Don't understand when and how Relapse became loved but Recovery will always be the better album for me.

I'm not talking to you personally, cause you a decent member, i'm just pissed off at people that try and make out that anyone saying Relapse > Recovery is a bandwagon-jumping homo who just says it to seem cool, which is what some people on here think. I never bumped Recovery as much as I bumped Relapse when both came out. Relapse has always had more plays for me. But people here are so desperate to defend the fact that he sold out with Rihanna and Wayne for dolla that they come up with any bullshit excuse, and these kind of anal discharges will use posts like yours as propaganda. That's why I made that post, not to attack you yourself.

Oh ok, I wasn't implying that it was a bandwagon effect, I was just saying how crazy it is that Relapse went from being ridiculed to relatively loved a few months after Recovery's release. I don't know what caused it but it's pretty astonishing, that's all.

The reason some retards couldn't appreciate Relapse is because they had preconcieved expectations.

People wanted, and expected, to hear more "woe is me" rap about the trappings of fame; what they got was incredibly creative and interesting music. And they weren't ready for it. Then by the time Recovery came around, people had adjusted; Recovery was definately more the kind of thing you'd expect to hear as a comeback, which is why, I think, the label pressured him to say "fuck Relapse/Relapse 2" and just make Recovery. But people preferring Relapse does not make them faggots who just want to be like "oh, I liked Eminem before Love The Way You Lie, hur durr, I am better than u" as people here to like to insinuate.

I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

I still bump Relapse to this day, at least one track, specifically Stay Wide Awake. Recovery's good too, especially when you're feeling down or when you're with friends and shit, but I've always preferred Relapse.
