It sounds better having Royce's verse first. And there is a synth which kicks in for the last 4 bars or so of each verse, which, in the leaked version is a lot more prominent and makes the beat sound better, whereas in the version on the EP you can barely hear it.

The leaked version of Echo is in no way better than the final one. It wasn't mixed properly, volume levels were all over the place, it sounded "chopped", the beat didn't sound as good and it didn't have the bridge that unifies both verses and the overall concept of the song.
