He showed her the song? What was her reaction?
And if he already showed her the song why did she try to commit suicide during the live performance?

She tried to commit suicide during the live performance! :o Gosh, that must've been really dramatic. Were the crowd panicking and stuff? I always thought it happened a bit afterwards.

Also, it could've been that she was okay with the song, but when she saw what Em was doing in the live performances she felt it was a lot worse.

He said somewhere [Rolling Stone??] ages ago that he first played it for her in the car and she laughed and said he was "fucking crazy". Doesn't sound like to extreme of a reaction to me, but she probably got used to it after Bonnie & Clyde, where Em said she "flipped out" when he played it for her.

As for the actual performance, according to her interviews while she was doing her bitter-wife round of the daytime talk shows after their divorce in '06, she asked him not to perform it [personally, it seems weird that she'd specifically bring it up and ask him not to when he'd never done it live before - you're just putting the idea in his head] because she was going to be attending the show, and he not only performed it, but he brought out the blowup doll and was beating it up during the song, and the crowd was screaming along with him.

They were probably frozen by the pure awesomeness of seeing Eminem scream like that.

I want to see him recording Biterphobia along many other songs. Matter of fact, I wouldn't mind seeing every song he has recorded.

***** wrote:"The 1st song that Em wrote 4 the album, in late '98, when he had broken up with Kim. With this frustration & having a baby in the mix, Em says he wanted to "pour his heart out, to fuckin scream". The same day he saw a movie, which inspired "Kim", he went to the studio & recorded it. The mood he wanted to capture was of an argument that he & Kim would have. Em says he did the vocals in one take."

Dr. Dre said in an interview with VH1 for Ultimate Albums : The Marshall Mathers LP : "My jaw hit the ground when I heard that song. I played the song over and over about 10 times. That's one of my favorites next to "Stan." Just because of the aggression that he put into it. I thought it was gonna push some buttons and make people's skin crawl. It's important to get a reaction and jerk some kind of emotion out of people when they listen to what you're doing."
