Why do i enjoy Encore more then Recovery and Relapse

Relapse is lyrically light years ahead the lazy-ass Encore, and Recovery is thematically and conceptually on a whole different level.

I fail to see on any level how an Eminem fan would appreciate that mediocre album over his 2 more recent. In fact, you absolutely need to be wearing nostalgia tinted googles to even think about that.

First of all, why in the world do you care what others think of what you are listening? Do you live of other people's opinion?

Second, I fail to see how the mediocre and lazy concepts of 70% of Encore are any better than the "wack ass" (lol, hyperpole right here) Recovery punchlines, and its "pop" sound.

The weakest songs on Recovery (WBD, Untitled, Session One) are better than almost the entirety of Encore sans Toy Soldiers, Spend Some Time and Crazy in Love.

To each their own I guess.

We all went nuts and bought Encore just for the hell of it..Listened to it and didn't care how bad it was, we just bumped it regardless.
That's really the whole spirit of music, to just enjoy it and don't fucking care what quality it is pretty much..Dre did a ace job on the boards anyway.

Nostalgia is a powerful drug. I'm off that shit.
There's a word for people "embarrassed" to play music in public: poser. I intend no disrespect, but music should be judged based on how YOU feel about it, not how you feel others will perceive you because you listen to it. I used to do that to. Not no more. I'll play anything from Eminem to Urine Festival to My Chemical Romance to Prosthetic Cunt in public. I just don't give a fuck anymore.

Encore's good songs are really good.

Encore's middle, where most of the filler is, is simply that, filler. He made them in a rush because he didn't wanna use the leaked tracks. I know I'm making excuses for him, but Love You More is one of my favourite Em tracks and its from that era..so, he made a horrible decision with the newer tracks over the older ones.

Am i right in assuming that Crazy in Love replaced Love You More? Or am i just being speculative.

Anyway, what i find is that i always enjoy his new releases, but sometimes what adds further to my enjoyment of MMLP or SSLP or even TES is that nostaligia factor. Great albums, but so are his later releases, minus a few songs
