Things I'd fix/add:

First and foremost - Update the non-forum part of TRShady. When you just go to "trshady.com" it floods you with broken and out-of-date links.

2 - Add a "View quoted posts" next to "View your posts". This link will take you to everybody who has recently quoted you. I like Geno's idea.

3 - Fix the current forum search. The current one is pretty unreliable.

4 - Make video embedding easier.

5 - I would change up the background. The granite is unfitting and dull. Still keep it a solid color though.

6 - Update the feel of the site in coordination with Em's most recent albums (as opposed to just the banner).

First of make the forum and the home page blend together. Similar graphic and color layout. Also the site rarely gets updated. Maybe have the top discussed threads from the Eminem news section appear somewhere on the home page to help keep the new up to date. Also fix the whole layout have some drop down bars, something like Discography and when you hover over it a menu drops down with all CD's etc.

I think most of these suggestions about the forum is off-topic to what TR is talking about. From what I've seen on this forum, users including myself have been creative with audio, write lyrics and what not, but what is important is how we share that. Taking all the content we produce and putting it in one place where everyone can listen to it, broadcasting it live across social networking sites. I have suggested this before, what TR needs from a user perspective is a Radio channel where any artist can come on and play their latest beat, track or just a vocal song. Yes you have Youtube, Myspace but the point is what you represent for the TRShady community. As a community radio station, DJ's, emcees to come on and show their talent, take full use of the technology.

~Have a full all time running playlist you can turn off on the side with all featured tracks, give them some light that way,

The forum and website will always be independent for most part, and that's intentional. The website has the focus on Eminem, the forum has the focus on community and despite attempts in the past to merge the two (we had TRecords section for example), it's a lot of work for a small interest by the general traffic we receive. I'm hoping to have the update website live in the coming days, perhaps even this weekend.

As for the ideas I'm asking for, this is about the website, not the forum - I'm after ideas on what information/interactivity/media could be provided on the site, what other sites handle the presenting of an artist well and what features or content you'd like to see?

If at all possible, hire a few extra people to update the site. It's looking bad with all this crap missing from the homepage, (BME, Some recovery items, Etc.)

And btw, try to embed the BME game....

I was thinking along the lines of having dedicated volunteers who can update the site, but on further thought, it'd be great if anyone can put forward changes, with me simply approving them. In truth though, the amount of work to keep the content up to date is relatively small so we'll see how I get on.

I've made some significant changes to the site and I'm excited at ya'll seeing it, the priority is to get the site properly working and update to date, no outdated or broken content. Then it's pushing the boat out and getting the site back to something we can be proud of.

Either way, the new site will be available in the coming days, I think ya gonna like it. Keep coming with the ideas, how best can we present his discography info? what Eminem music information should we have? What would make us the greatest Eminem site since our last redesign.

What in feel is MOST important about the site is digital media. Not just a list of all his albums but working links for downloading and streaming. I usually use HotNewHipHop Dx and im1music so you could check those out for ideas. In the same vein, ordered discography, complete videography and exceptional live performances are the three biggest categories for me under the music. An extra section of him in film (8 Mile, Wash , Entourage and Southpaw would be really cool and different)

Accolades are of course critical under the Artist category and an emphasis on not just making the list all inclusive but more on awe-inspiring. E.g, using an infographic. Stuff a stan like me usually looks for... Regular Eminem Section info.

Partnerships with related shady members like Thisis50, Game's forum, Crooked I's forum, maybe even Slim Shady related media (Facebook, Twitter, Eminem.com, BadMeetsEvil.com etc) would gain some traffic- always good. Plus, makes the site... "richer" for lack of a better word.

Finally, i'm a sucker for polls. They are a nice little etxra and whatever is topical in the forum could be put as a poll. Wallpapers of Eminem in ABUNDANCE and HQ- fanmade and otherwise will make us more unique and appealing. (Omega start working! lol) They are actually quite rare.

Finally, if anyone is willing, a blog. I hate them, i bet most people do as well. But a blog is easy to bookmark and come back to when the need arises.

Probably ddnt say anything new but just wanted to show how pumped i am for this to happen.

Edit: can we present his discography info?- my order of priority is official releases, time period, "type"- like Beef, Leak, official feature etc.
what Eminem music information should we have?- release date, release outlet, featured artist, producer, accolades and associated reviews.

I was just doing a random search to test it "not afraid"....and it kept searching and searching but never find the results...I hope you know what I mean...Right now it works...
