I think the concept of the song Move On by Slaughterhouse would be relevant to this forum. Motherfuckers move on!

Honestly, stop trying to live in the past, as some have said branching out is what keeps it fresh, he needs to keep himself motivated. Yes some of the beats are weak, but if you look at it this way, Relapse had good beats, but some of the lyrics on the songs were awful. My Mom for example. Beats aren't that important when Hip Hop is trying to regain its status, HTS had great beats, but the lyrics were what took centre stage. I miss the old shady, but thats it, old, Eminem still provides with a few songs now and again who bring back that nostalgia, but i think he's slowly spoon feeding us his transition.

I've noticed this with all artists these days, when they tweak their sound, their fans complain, but also when they were 'who they were' people still complained. We love to complain, a punch in the face to get you back to reality is what some people need, as sometimes nothing a person brings out will ever satisfy certain people.

H:TS captures that sound best (The Reunion, that sounds like a track he would have made in 2000), the production is pretty good and all has some sort of...overall sound. Despite you guys thinking it's not a coherent piece of work, you're wrong. It's more coherent than Recovery, I've listened to both albums enough to be able to judge. H:TS flows like a river, with the slight bump being Lighters.

I like that he's stepping out of his comfort zone as far as production goes. I don't want the same songs he made a decade ago, I want something new, fresh, and that's what he keeps on giving people but people still live in the past.

Came back to annihilate, the game's in dire straights, as I await
Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake

Like that will make you happy you didn't even mention half the songs he produced on Hell The Sequal.

I miss it, but he just needs to find something new (not what he's doing now). Something real innovative. Like how he flipped Aerosmith for SFTM.
