Accent vs Shouting: Which is/was more annoying?

I'm going for the shouting as being more annoying. I didn't like the accent but at least it allowed him to rhyme words that shouldn't have rhymed. I can't actually think of a reason for the shouting. It was cool at first when he dropped Despicable, and it worked with songs like Almost Famous because it generated an aura where it seemed like Em was just slaying everything/everyone in front of him. But now it's just like "Oh look there goes Em, shouting again, for no reason. Yawn".

I kinda enjoyed the accent when done correctly, but the shouting, I can't fucking stand it. I can't really listen to anything new from Eminem without getting angry... he keeps fucking shouting. shut the fuck up marshall, just rap with a normal voice.

The range of accents used on Relapse never really bothered me. only it was sometimes a challenge to understand what he said on a record.

However, to be honest I can't listen to any Eminem for long periods of time, then it gets irritating.

I don't mind the shouting as much as everyone else does. Almost Famous, Above The Law, Cold Wind Blows Despicable, Fly Away and Above The Law I love those songs.

Yea but c'mon, he only shouted sparingly and saved it for when he was genuinelly pissed off/angry (The Way I Am, Go To Sleep, Girls etc). Now he just shouts on every track for no apparent reason, so there's a clear difference.
