Accent vs Shouting: Which is/was more annoying?

I hate the accent, the shouting is ok as it allows me to listen to the song without getting annoyed. Every time I listen to a song that has a accent of Eminem's, I feel like I am forcing myself to listen to it and eventually just skip it in the middle of the track.

I again put forward the idea that the 'shouting' delivery only became a problem Post-Recovery with certain songs such as Roman's Revenge and his verse on Celebrity.

People then rewound time, rewrote history and claimed to have issues with his delivery on Recovery, which to all intents and purposes is his normal delivery.

I can literally remember this process happening. First people would say 'Man, he's started shouting after Recovery, his voice is shot, wow' and then this 'shouting controversy' infected Recovery tracks one by one, until now he was SCREAMING throughout Recovery like a maniac. He finally put some passion into his songs again, that was all.

Just like on the MMLP,which everyone loves, BECAUSE he sounds so angry most of the time.

But now, of course, it's fake, which is why there is such an issue with it.

And to top it all off, after months of abuse for creating ridiculous (if interesting, fresh and dynamic) accents, suddenly everyone wants them back.

He can't win.

Actually, I just think there seems to be a lot more people who want them back than there were people praising him at the time, for using them. That's just the impression I get.

I don't think its people necessarily wanting them back... the people who hate the shouting more seem to just be discussing examples of the accent being put to good use, which is fair enough. Being one of the people who dislikes the shouting more, even I disliked the accent but I can cite some occasions where it worked well... I still don't wanna see it come back though.

See, I can understand why on some of the leaked tracks like Celebrity his voice sounded pretty hoarse and kind of sharp and abrasive to the ear. But the majority are just an aggressive delivery, they aren't irritating to the ear surely. Fast Lane is my favourite track of the year, is he shouting in that?
