She waved

Postby Ivy » Apr 28th, '06, 23:38

I wrote this as a September 11th short story, only the events are different. It was for school. I was given certain things I had to include, like a factory worker, a woman, and a plane. Then I had my fun and made this up. Comments are as usual, welcome :)

It seemed to be one of those days, that the sky could just swallow you whole. It looked like a thick blanket of never ending smoke. He blocked out all the sounds and noises of bustling people as he walked through the airport. He appeared to be a factory worker, just a normal average citizen. He wore blue hangovers, navy blue to be exact; he had a black and white hat on over his sandy blonde hair. Small oval shaped glasses covered his brown empty looked eyes. He kept mumbling things over and over as he walked humbly up to the doorway of gateway 18F, to baord the worn out Northwest plane.
"Do you have your boarding pass?" The lady, Ruby, as it said on her very polished nametag, asked in a "wish I wasn't here," type of voice.
He simply handed her the crumbled up ticket and went on his way down the long moldy smelling gateway. He looked at his watch 11:29 a.m., the plane should be over Jacksonville around 2:30 p.m. and then the plan would take action. The plan, what a horrible thing to do, but he knew when he joined "The Club" that he would someday take part in a tragic incident, and he now was starting to have second thoughts. I have to do this, he thought to himself reassuringly. He was riding in the luxury of first class and as he sat down an evil, demented look on his face revealed itself to the world.
Time was nearing; everything was perfect, he thought. The Commissioner, what was his name he wondered, would be arriving at the concert any minute. Who would want to see a ballet? He lifted up his navy blue sleeve to look at his rusted beaten up wristwatch, 2:20 p.m., it was time. He took a deep breath and stood up removing a shotgun from his waist, which had been slid down into his pant's leg for safe keeping, and he gripped it tightly. He moved quickly towards the cockpit and the only thing you could hear throughout the plane for that one half a second was "BOOM."
He wiped the blood from his face and threw the lifeless body of the pilot to the floor. he sat down quickly and gained control of the plane and then turned it ever so slightly to 20 degrees southwest. He removed his left hand from the steering mechanism and looked at his wristwatch again, 2:23 p.m. He grabbed a set of headphones that were to be worn by a co-pilot, if one, and put them on. He cleared his voice and finally broke the long deadly silence throughout the plane.
"Ladies and gentlement, you have an estimated six minutes to live, so if I were you, I'd be on my knees praying to God. You all are involved in a sinister plot to kill the Commissioner, and I'd advise that you move to the fron to fthe plane so that you can die at the impact of the plane hitting the Jeopardy's Theatre. None-the-less, I'd like to "thank you for flying Northwest airlines" and have a nice, oh, five minutes."
He snatched the headphones off and just threw them. he was anxious, scared, and thrilled to be doing this. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked out the blood-spattered glass in front of him. He slowly began to push in on the steering mechanism, now seeing hundreds of tiny buildings before his eyes. He saw something out of the corner of his eyes, but it was to late. One of the bravest people, a woman, on the plane got the nerve to reach in her purse and pull out a tube of finger nail polish and toss it at his face. He quickly threw his hands up to wipe the pinkness off his glasses. It finally got to wear he could see at a blur, and when he blinked his eyes and opened them again, all he could see was a group of children playing on a playground, a little girl looked, what he thought into his eyes, and waved, and then...............................................................nothing.

I saw something simalar to that on T.V once, it was a replay thing of one of the planes. It'd be horribe to have been one of the passangers hearing "you have 6 minutes to live". Damn, that'd be scary :(

Yeah, it really was supposed to resemble sadness and all that. I wouldn't be able to hear I have 6 minutes...I'd go insane... :zipped:
