Without Me > Like Toy Soldiers. BY A LOT. Without Me is an amazing song, one of TES' best. LTS isn't really better than any song on TES tbh. No Apologies would be a good inclusion but Business fits the theme of the album perfectly. We As Americans is dope and I think it would do good in TES even though it was written in 2003/2004.

Eminem's flow and aggressive delivery on No Apologies are both flawless, but I'm not really a big fan of the lyrics. They're good...but not great. There are little things like "start shit-itis" and "ly-RIC spitted" and "dest-UNNY" that bring it down for me. There's a load of stuff on TES that is lyrically superior.

What's wrong with the last two examples? I agree with shititis, that's horrible, but what don't you like about the others? Just where he's putting the emphasis?

Destunny is a bit of a forced rhyme with yes money. But as I said, "little things."

3rd verse is also weaker than most of TES.

The whole Destunny and other rhymes like that were part of what he was going for, they weren't forced.

And I do believe that the 3rd verse was written at a different time so I guess it would sound different

We As Americans was written at least after the release of 8 Mile ("rapper slash actor"), which was November 2002. He most likely wrote it in 2003.

The writing on that song is great. The first and third verse are very well written. If Em wrote most of Encore at the same time he wrote We As Americans, we would have been in for a much better album. I think he also wrote his Patiently Waiting verse in 2003? The only track I could see him writing in 2003 for Encore would have been Spend Some Time. I still think he wrote most of the album in 2004. It wouldn't really make sense otherwise.
