Still can't believe we haven't got a striker in yet. Taking the piss now. We need a LB (whether Jose leaves or not), striker and possibly a CB.

Obertan is a good signing. Lots of potential there, he just needs to get some confidence and know to use his ability. Better than Routledge.

Funny how Barton will probably play against Arsenal. Both sides have been stupid in this whole saga, but I'm glad he's probably going to play (unless MA sticks him in the reserves - wouldn't suprise me). We need as many players as we can get tbh.

I'm stupidly excited for the season, now. With Ben Arfa fit I like the look of this side (insert new LB is Jose goes, and Marveuax for Obertan/Jonas or even Ben Arfa when he's out):

Not a bad team. Squad is still thin on the ground. If Ba gets injured, we're fucked. Should have gone for Shane Long, but he looks set for WBA.

Cabaye is going to be steal of the season. Based on pre-season the guy oozes class and works insanely hard. Gunna be a another gem, like Tiote. Can't wait to see him play - put him in my Fantasy Football team, box-to-box player, so will get plenty of assists, I reckon.

I know how it feels to waste potential! United has the same problem with SEVEN strikers Rooney, Berbatov, Hernandez, Walbeck, Macheda, Owen....... Diof. Its kinda frustrating sometimes to see talent stifled for the sake of gametime for big salary players

Was always gunna happen. Looks like we have Pieters in as a replacement. Hopefully in time for the Arsenal game. Makes sense. According to a few reliable sources, Enrique won't be a Liverpool player until Pieters is definitely an NUFC player.
