Yeah I read about that but I still think we may grab him. I mean if the reports are correct and we're offering two players and a cash sum it would be stupid not to accept it. There's being stubborn and then there's being stupid, Tottenham need the money to strengthen areas of their squad.

Man City are closing in on Nasri. If Wenger doesn't use that money to buy some class, experienced players, he can completely kiss Arsenal's chances of keeping up with Chelsea, Utd and City away. I understand his philosophy though, players for the future. But it gets to a point where you need players for the current. I mean he's lost his best player and it looks like he's losing another good player. Those transfers have gave him a nice little sum so he has to use it. I don't care for Arsenal but the Wenger needs a kick up the ass and spend some cash.

I'm just surprised how no one here cares for the Madrid vs Barca game!
It's really weird tbh.....Especially since Real Madrid has finally built a strong team that could defeat Barcelona (We were too close BTW).

I just saw the game and you dont know how much i want to comment on it! So many ideas and comments floating. Ok, Mourinho COULD, hypothetically, win the war against Barca and i honestly believe bar a worldclass striker (Read Wayne Rooney) Madrid is the only side which could do so. Unfortunately, his self-obsession and grandeur seems to translate in an over-cockiness of jis players and its working against it. Secondly, just heard a suggestion and thought it made sense- why not try Christiano more centrally against Barca? I mean, this whole "drift inside" thing has evidently failed and it is such a waste of potential.

Much better game than last season but still not encouraging in terms of clean football when it will count. It took Cesc 5 years to not win a medal in London but 2 days to win one in Catalunya. Fantabulous start.

Don't get me wrong I'm all for Chelsea buying youngsters and Lakaku looks like an awesome purchase. What I am concerned about is the sheer amount of strikers we're going to have. I'm sure it's a big enough headache getting Torres and Drogba to play the time they deserve and now we have another striker in the mix.
