Why Do People Hate Relapse But Love Nicki Minaj?

A large majority of the people i've spoken to seem to hate relapse, almost solely due to the accent. Yet, at the same token, nick minaj uses the same type of accented, pronunciation-bending flow and the public eats it up. Any ideas why?

Nicki sounds like she's having a seizure when she raps. Em doesn't sound like that on relapse. I personally didn't like the album because it sounded uninspired to me but I only listened to it about twice. Only 1 or 2 songs really caught my attention.

MMLP was my favorite and that probably had the most anti-women stuff on it. I don't take it personally, I don't think most women do. For me it's more about beats and flow.

The people i'm referring to are the mainstream audience (which i know, has no taste in quality) but I just kind of saw a parallel with eminem on relapse and nicki both using some sort of accent. On relapse his accent is widely panned by mainstream yet nicki's doesn't seem to bother anyone, she's a pretty popular artist; even though, imo, nicki's accent is overwhelmingly cringe worthy.

The content in Relapse is way more sinister and darker than the stuff in MMLP. I think that girls would find that offensive or just not appealing.

i like how nicki uses accents. she changes voices throughout her songs. shit sounds different then most radio music out now. reminds me kind of like Em and how he can do all these crazy voices. its just something different and fun.
