I know that red is the colour of courage, strength and maybe this time it represent only the sober Em..
do you remember this video?

I think they chose the red colour for the same reason ;)

That's cool they do a Royce video AND a Bad Meet's Evil Video on the same day

by the way, to those of you that post just saying BME, you know what the letters B.M.E quickly remind me of

Nah, they are subliminally pimping the album of the year. :smoking:

He might as well be a watch salesman from now on. Or could sell Dre beats.

The video is average - basically the same concept as Not Afraid, just not quite as corny. Proved how completely useless Bruno Mars is in this song as well.

Great video for a good song. :y: Makes me appreciate the song more. I adore the lantern thing at the end, but it reminds me of Tangled. I'm pretty sure they did use hair paint instead of just lighting/dye because lighting would be tough to keep up so consistently with Em moving around like he is, and it's obviously not actually dyed, because you can clearly see that only the tips are blonde - the brown clearly shows through.

The video was much better than I expected. :)

the video looks unusually low budget for an Eminem video...guess it's because Interscope isn't really backing this project

I was actually pretty underwhelmed. There's definitely room in that song for something a lot more creative. It's almost like they had a short budget.

Agreed. Why did they have to go to California to film this? It could've been filmed anywhere.

Also, geez, enough with the watch close-ups--haha! I guess that's how they paid for the lantern effects.

I'm guessing the concept of this vid was to show how each of them were in their prime, then they fell, then they returned? That's what I'm guessing, the second I saw Em in those sweat pants I thought of Slim Shady. Plus the blonde hair. That definitely seemed like he was writing the SSLP or maybe even the MMLP. I never even knew Royce was in jail, wtf.

I'm guessing the dark ass hallway represents them in their "dark" times.
The red lights probably having nothing to do with it, maybe just a metaphorical light to guide them through the dark.

Lastly, they arise in a field, and they become "new". In a sense.

Pretty good video. :coffee:

At Lollapalooza there were a few hot air lanterns in the sky during this song, but I'm pretty sure they lit by people in the crowd. That's what I thought of when I saw the end...

I wonder why the BME Vevo set it as an inapproprate video. Seems like bad marketing. bet you most of the people who are going to want to watch it are under 18, and now a huge chunk of their audience can't watch it. I didn't notice anything even remotely questionable in it. :confusion: It's practically G-rated, and even the explicit version of Spacebound wasn't set as inappropriate.
