Have you seen the scenes crashing?

No I was like 1km away from Pukkelpop fortunately, walking through Hasselt... I was about to go to Pukkelpop during the afternoon to see what the festival looked like, but my friends and I finally decided to do something else which probably saved our lifes you know

Aww, that's so sweet. I wish the video had included the rest of the AIDS thing though, I've been wondering what happened with that.

its unfair in every way, people dont get a refund, people dont get to see em, but most of all, people lost members of their family/ freinds, for no good reason. i hope nothing like this ever happens again, and i hope that the people organising these events have learnt some valuable lessons

the people who organised it did everything right.how can they learn a valuable lesson when there's nothing they could have done. it's just unfortunate. and i think they handled it all pretty good after what had happened. you should have seen the guy from the organisation, he was totally devastated

there will be some way to improve, like evacuating people sooner? or a quick way to dismantle the stands so they dont collapse? i dont know, but there should be some way to improve from what happened.

if you ask me, they were very lucky only 5 people died. There were hundreds of people in those tents.

well.. i cant really argue with that. in my opinion though, there must have been a way those deaths could have been avoided, such as a reliable weather prediction system? they are expensive but would have prevented all of this..

so if they had such a system, and they knew a storm was coming, you really think they would've cancelled the fest? i don't think so. they knew the weather was going to be bad anyway, cause they do check those things in a special weather station in Belgium, especially if there's a festival.

they might have got people off of the big stands?? to be honest, i have no idea, im just guessing. maybe they did have an EWWA (early weather warning system.. its a british thing), maybe they didnt. i dont really know, i just hope that they find a way to stop this happening again.

I got an email from Pukkelpop. They offered to go to a concert of The Offspring for free in Paris. But it's on the 31th of August and the first of September, so I can't go because of my operation. The tickets were limited, I hope they'll do more things to compensate for the lost money.
