AMAZING GAME!! Rooney was on fire, the wings were terrific, the defense was hungry and once again, it was the introduction of the old "class" players (Giggs, and Park that is) which slowed us down. Wow, at this rate, the difference between us and the league is the injuries of Vidic and Fletcher. Other than that, bring on any team,- Chelsea having added mata and lukaku, City with its millions or the optimistic Liverpool. Either way, i'm pretty confident things are on the up at the club.

^ I don't believe a word.

If Roman Abramovich had bought Man City in 2003 then you'd support them now

You went for the most exciting emerging team with a billionaire owner

You don't really know what its like to be a proper football fan

Fuck Man City too. cunts

I'm guilty of this too, but everyone is getting ahead of themselves about the season ahead. After a handful of games last year, Chelsea were nailed on for the title. All it takes is a bad run of games and it's all change.

I still think it's a two horse race but it can all change.

I wouldn't mind Man City winning the title, though. Would make a refreshing change. Of course my hatred for everything about Man United plays a part.

Also, how hilariously shit are Arsenal? Brilliant that their overrated football/players are getting them nowhere. Our 0-0 draw with them is looking like a terrible result haha

What motive would he have to lie about staying true to Chelsea? He obviously loves Chelsea; his posts on here proves that. He watches them play as much as he can and constantly keeps up and discusses the latest speculation. In my eyes, those actions makes him a "proper football fan". Someone who isn't a "proper football fan" is those who say they support a team but in reality, they have minimal interest in them. Look where he lives, he's hardly going to be at their games often is he? He did say he wants to go to one of their games in the future. Good fan. :y:

Ah mate, I remember haha. We were scoring like no one's business, playing awesome. Mid season we hit a spell where we just couldn't win. It was embarrassing lol.

FreeDoom wrote: I mean you say about Newcastle maybe getting a bad result to Arsenal but it's quite possible that the defeat against Liverpool WITH Nasri who left days later was a bigger blow to there squad morale than some realise. Then losing like they did today can only mean things go one way most the time. Maybe there find strength during the international break who knows. Id LOVE to see them crash and burn this season tho.

I was being tounge-in-cheek really. And yeah, they had a much better team out then today. That defender that got sent off is fucking awful; I know he's young, but, god, he was bad. I think people are overreacting a bit - they'll still be okay to get top 7, I reckon, as long as they get a centre back in to partner Vermelaen.

Toon were decent today, despite a dreadful opening twenty minutes. It's crazy how good our centre backs are playing - for the first time we actaully have a reasonable defence, more so if we get Pieters in before the end of the window. Cabaye is getting going as well, and Ba looked good when he came on.

We still need a striker, though. Ba and Best are adequate to good but we have no small, quick striker to partner them - Lovenkrands is possibly the worst striker in the Premier League

Alright mate, I feel like I'm dreaming to be honest. We played like Barcelona today. United only beat Spurs 3-0 at home.

But tbh I was pretty much content after winning the FA Cup. A dream realised.

Yeah he's ridiculously good at free kicks. He's done okay at left back as well to be fair to him.

I wouldn't put him in though - if (knowing NUFC, I'm not saying 'when') we sign a left back he won't be playing at all.
