Rabbit Run = One Of The Most Overrated Em Songs???

Wanted to add something,Em screams on this track like he fucking meant it. (keyword = meant)

not like some tracks on Recovery.

His vocals were so good,such a shame,the double time flow (which he tries now,sometimes terribly fails at it) is executed perfectly,makes any rapper who ever attempted going fast feel ashamed of himself.

The guy was basically a god back then,and this aint shit compared to his top 50 tracks.

2) Everyone overrates it like hell. It's good, but the rhyming is just too...predictable? IDK the rhyming's still very good, but people think it's one of his GOAT verses. Nah, it's very formulaic and nothing new. Like, I can see a good internet rapper writing it. Obviously Em adds his voice/flow and makes it doper, but to me it's not even a top 50 Em song.

Simply put , Em proves hes the greatest rapper to ever grace the face of earth in this master piece !

I don't think it's overrated lol it is a good song and though the rhymes may be "simple" as you say, it's the context in which it was written that makes it dope. Yes, Em wrote it, but his character in 8 mile is actually the one portrayed in it. As such, Rabbit was a battle rapper (ie simple rhymes) and that's just where the song comes from. At least for me that's why. Top 20 song easily for me.

I guess the song was meant to be represented as a battle type of track or a freestyle,thus Em didnt go full in on rhyming,but its still good rhyming.

Very few rappers can write such a verse... the entire song is one verse, probably Eminem's longest verse ever. Saying that any good internet rapper can write is plain bullshit. Em's intensity & seriousness was remarkable. Overall, if anything, the song is under-appreciated. Anything 2002 Em touched = gold.

What's the difference, just out of interest? Most underground rappers have YouTube accounts.

Internet rapper = textcee OR rapper that doesn't do live shows, is usually unexperienced, gives out music for free, doesn't promote outside internet, has no following, 85% of the time sucks.

Underground rapper = dudes like Tech N9ne (back in the days), Copywrite, Crooked I, Slug, Diabolic, Vakill, Blu.
