Paved the way?

What a fucking idiot.

Before him there was no real issue with white rappers... well, not on the same scale - thanks to Beastie Boys and some other reptiable white rhymers.

THEN, this piece of shit comes along and almost permanently branded the white man with a 'not allowed to rap' sticker on his back for a fucking lifetime. He basically undid the work of respected white rappers, the retarded sell-out fuck.

Em even said he couldn't get signed initially and labels were explicitly saying it was because he was white. Which is blatant fucking racism by the way. Just imagine that in reverse, it'd be national news in America and said record label would be fucking shutdown.

But, Mr. Ice, that was practically single-handedly thanks to you. You paved, nada.

What I don't get though... is how he built up that initial, genuine underground following? as, okay... the argument is he was awful because he sold-out? but I've heard him since he's been independent and been allowed to do as he pleases, and he's still awful lmao.

And he even still plays "Ice Ice Baby", so clearly, it's the same guy. So how the fuck did he get fans in the first place, on a genuine underground level. What talent...

Hes got the appeal of being universally hated, attracts a good amount of hipsters. Plus I'm guessing the majority of hiphop listeners don't know what makes a rapper good or bad. I'm pretty sure all it takes for most people are dope beats and a flow that isnt horrible.

At least he isnt as annoying now that hes underground and less people bump him.

Oh, and if you havent heard of Vanilla Ices movie. Watch this review, its funny as hell

So I was watching that new Jim Carrey's movie, Mr Popper or whatever it's called, and in the end during the credits they played Ice Ice Baby. Then I came back home and saw this thread. Cool huh ?
