Yea I've seen that clip before. And I will love Iniesta forever for his goal in the World Cup finals (i'm half Spanish and support Spain rather than England) and celebrated it in the streets of Malaga.

Yes , I remember the next day there was no other topic of conversation, and flags everywhere :D

England and Malaga big contrast ;) , I go very often to Sevilla and Cádiz. Nice that you are half spanish, supongo que hablas español !!

Yea the streets were pandemonium, I watched it outside in a big square full of bars and it was amazing. Indeed Malaga is very different to England... a lot more primitive in some ways, but better transport. I hear the north is a lot richer but only tend to go to Malaga and to Badajoz because thats where a lot of my family is (I also have a lot in Barcelona but never been there). I've been to Sevilla once just on the way back to Malaga from Badajoz and it's always been a place I'd love to spend time in. One day hopefully. And no, I speak a little Spanish but not much, I was never taught it unfortunately which pisses me off but oh well.

Anyway I'll let this get back to f00tball talk ;-)

Strange opening week of Champions League football on the whole - none of the big teams have particularly impressed and the favourites Barca really need Pique and Puyol back because Busquets is no good as a makeshift defender.

Another good performance from City. We dominated the first half and probably should have been 1 up at half time. Overall we were just about the better side but a draw is OK.

To all the United fans moaning about City in this thread:  We are fucking loaded and we won't go away so you might as well prepare yourself for the inevitable. Danny Welbeck isn't going to save you now.

Dan ws , the North and the South have nothing in common, in fact the first time I was in the south I was a bit shocked. They are more "Folklorics", all the stereotypes about Spain probably were born there. :D

If you can, you have to go to Barcelona or Madrid, more things to visit in Bcn.

I must say people in the south is more open, more "funny", in the north we are a bit different...

Sorry!!! I don't go off topic more,ups... :p

Mata: Long-term Aims

Juan Mata wrote:'I hope to improve my English in the near future, I am going to English classes and all of this represents an opportunity to grow as a person and experience a new culture.

Juan Mata wrote:Mata's next test comes at Manchester United on Sunday. He has been to Old Trafford before and knows what to expect from the league leaders.

'Obviously they are doing really well at the moment, they have won all their games and are a real contender for the Premier League title,' he conceded. 'I have been to their pitch with Valencia and it was all very impressive, so obviously they are big contenders for it now.

'We're just starting the season right now and obviously they have had a strong start but we are closing in on that gap, we are only two points away, a distance we can recover quite easily. We have shown that we can win, we are only at the beginning of the season and everything is to play for.'

That's a very interesting read. I've got yet more respect for Mata now. He's an awesome player and he seems like a really nice guy. He's determined to go all out for Chelsea and that is what I like to see. A brilliant signing.

  Sorry but at first I though "Juan Mata" was a new member of the forum and I was shocked by that sentence just to be in a forum.

Well good luck , for the player.
