Yeah my bad. God knows why I thought it was Hernandez.

On a different note, well done Fulham. Didn't let City run away with it.

THIS. Thank you!

We outclassed them in the second half. We played very well, all because the scoreline says 3-1 that does not mean we got demolished. Utd just took most of their chances, that's the key difference.

It's funny when people call us shit when they probably don't even watch the games. If they did, they'd see a totally different Chelsea. A team who are now much more creative and play a solid, fluid passing game. I just don't understand how you could slag off a team because you see a scoreline. That's discrediting the performance which is equally as important. If Chelsea play as well as they did today, they will be up there at the end of the season.

Also, I know it's still early but Villas-Boas looks like a fantastic manager. I really love his values about playing well to get results. He's my second favourite manager behind Jose, but I think he'll be my favourite Chelsea manager if he stays with us.

We thought the game was won at 2-0. Kun is devastating, but we are weak at the back.

United are unfortunately very good. But I believe we can beat them and that might be where the title is won or lost. They will hit a bad patch and hopefully we won't.

Torres :facepalm

Feel sorry for the guy now. Confidence is well and truly gone.

I really don't think that's going to affect him. He had the game of his Chelsea career and scored an awesome goal past Utd. I hope he concentrates on that rather than the miss. I mean look at Rooney's penalty, that was awful but I'm sure it hasn't even affected him. I'm sure Torres will be fine.

All I know is if he continues playing to that standard.. wow.

It was a really good finish for his goal, looked like his old self. But unfortunately, that miss was instrumental in your defeat. Everything would have changed after that. Not good enough for a 50 mil striker.

If there was a return policy on strikers Fernando would be on his way back to Liverpool. To fight it out with Carroll as the worst buy ever

Torres on form (as he was today apart from the miss) is one of the best strikers in the world. I don't see why people hate him, what has he done that deserves so much hate? Move to Chelsea? He didn't pick his price tag.

What about Rooney's penalty? If that was Torres, he would have been slaughtered for it. People love to have a go at him. Let's not forget how well he played today, he was the best striker on the field.

Yes he had a shocking miss and I will not even bother defending that but the fact remains he looked like his old self. You cannot discredit that.

Rooney was the best striker on the pitch.
And Rooney slipped, it happens, yes it was a bad timing but United won so its not that big of a deal, whereas Torres had a free goal and he couldnt pass the ball into the net on his left foot. Big difference between both misses.

Bullshit. Chelsea seemingly had a better game because they were able to keep possession but United did 2 things yesterday- attack and defend. One of those terribly yet the other one with a high level of consistency. Nani, Young and Rooney created more chances than Chelsea tbh. Nani Woodwork, Berbatov miss, Rooney woodwork, Hernandez follow ups, Penalty miss.... chelsea missed 2 clear-cut ones in the match... United much more.

Admittedly, our whole centre was lacking. Evans and Jones cant do without Vidic, Fletcher, Carrick and Anderson were all abysmal and even before his injury Hernandez simply couldnt get involved.

I know there's not much (if anything) I could say to change your mind but I personally feel like Chelsea had the better second half. I also think that Utd had the better first half. Each to their own, it was a good game nevertheless.

If that was Torres he would have been slaughtered for it more so than Rooney has. Yes it does happen but because it's Rooney, not many people will be laughing and joking about it. How many people really hate Rooney in the comparison to Torres? Torres didn't choose his price tag, yes £50m was way too much but what can you do? Roman sanctioned that transfer, it was his doing, not Torres'.

Torres was the best striker on the pitch. His movement was fantastic; he was looking constantly for space and he made some very impressive runs. He almost setup a goal which somehow Rameris missed. He was a better player than Rooney on the day.

@Innovation

I dont think you can compare Rooney's miss to that of Torres,i mean One was a penalty which anybody can miss and the other was an open net even a 10 year old would put away.i know you're trying to defend torres and all,but trying to make Rooney's Pen as bad as that open net miss is laughable.

In fairness Chelsea play really well, but saying they played United off the park is simply exaggarating.Chelsea kept alot of possession at a point, but that was all it was, keeping possession.they weren't that effective going forward apart from that Ramires miss and in the second half Torres.and those chances came because of the fact that we had a second choice back four of kids.

A very lovely weekend
Beating Chelsea 3-1
Liverpool getting thumped 4-0
Arsenal being Arsenal losing 4-3
and City throwing away a 2 goals lead to draw.

Couldnt have asked for a better weekend.

Lello wrote:actually Torres' miss, atleast he got past the keeper and did some work to get there, unfortunatly his weak foot did not score, but Rooney's miss, he only had to hit the target from the penalty spot and he did not do that, plus, Torres was performing great all day long, and the goal he scored was a classy finish, not every striker can pull out
