Psychedelic trip on weed?

This was basically like a semi-transparent background to everything I saw until I sobered up...

Also, among other things, inanimate objects moving, distorted perception of faces, burning feeling in my nose and eyes etc.

I also felt a bit nauseated.

Your description is right on the money. That sounds like a traditional psychedelic trip to me. The only problem with that is that the type of things that produce those visuals are usually too unstable to withstand the heat required to smoke them.

Maybe salvia, but that's usually more weird than trippy.

I will say though, that sounds pretty strong to have just been marijuana. It seems like some one must have laced it, but with what? And why didn't they trip? It's very odd.

Unless it was laced with synthetic cannabinoids as well? Those can have strange effects on people, but would just get others really stoned.

No, you'll be fine.

Most drugs are fairly safe in isolated use like this. Beyond that, the ones that aren't safe produce the type of effects that I could tell you for sure what they were--trust me, you didn't get into any shit that's going to have any long-term effect on you.
