I never said he wasn't popular, I just stated that he's not the hottest artist in rap right now.

Then EmBase comes in and calls me an idiot. :'(

Em is at the point where he dont give a fuck anymore about people like Benzino dissing him...if it was someone relevent than Em might diss him or her back! Just my thought..

ok do people not know what relevant means? relevant appears to be a term being thrown around lately for people nobody cares about. if we're talking about rappers, and Benzino is a rapper (regardless of what your opinion is of him), then he is relevant. the relevancy of something isn't determined by your opinion of the subjects.

I see relevancy as how much they mean to the industry/genre. For instance, who would care/how much would people care if they released something new.

No one gives half a flying FUCK about Benzino, is basically what people mean when they say he isn't 'relevant'

Eminem, going by this logic, is arguably the most 'relevant' artist in the music industry.

If someone has to prove me wrong, let it be EmBase :smoking:

But the thing is he does so less collabs ,Eminem's potential knew no bound when he did those killer collabs back in those days . :(

I'd say he still does win the collabs even til this day, let's see...

Forever - won
Drop The World - won
Airplanes II - won
No Love - won
Session One - very good
Where I'm At - gotta give credit when do, Lloyd owned this one
Roman's Revenge - won
That's All She Wrote - won, double time flow/multies :worship:
2.0 Boys - valiant effort

Then I'd say he had the better of Royce on H:TS, not by much, marginal at most.

It's not like he's tarnished his record of owning tracks, he is still doing that, so I don't understand when people say, "he used to kill tracks back in the day" as if he doesn't anymore.

That's a good list of tracks that he killed.I never said that he does not do that now ,the only difference form back then and now is the fact that he used to kill it leaving no margin to even consider the other verses ...but now some how that drive is missing up to an extent IMO.Loud Noises was a let down for me .

That's what I was thinking, which is why I say "Fuck the diss", just send Benzino this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2DUyw9Y0EE

But on a serious note, the dude's highly popular in this day and age. He's been in the game for over a decade and he could still sell out concert tickets and shit within 20 minutes or so (Probably, but you know what I'm getting at). Like what was said earlier, he could tweet "Name of my new solo album announced at midnight" and people would flock to his twitter.

yes i am aware of why people use it this way :sweating:
i was strictly talking about the definition itself, because that isn't the definition of "relevant"
but i guess it's just the new "thing" now. like saying something is sweet, dope, or ill. using the word "relevant" in a way that is irrelevant to the definition of it( :shifty: )
