Really? You're probably right, but I always thought from "there's no movie, there's no Mekhi Phifer" onwards, he broke the fourth wall and started talking about himself. All the references to being a father etc. made me think it wasn't Jimmy.

I agree with Amadeo. Em said somewhere that for the movie AND the soundtrack he had to put himself back into 1995-1996. If he was talking as Jimmy for the whole song, he wouldn't bring up being a father and having a kid and all the "baby-mama drama".
