Are you guys NOT reading my post?

Not ONCE did I say LTWYL or Not Afraid are bad tracks.

I just said, IN MY OPINION, that he's been releasing good tracks.

And for all those who are saying that SH influencing him is a bad thing, why?

I would much rather have Em return to his old style.

like someone said, disregarding budden, they all just spam songs with forced metaphors without any good substance. budden is different and i hope he doesnt start with it.

No.

I could see you saying Crooked does, but then again, he "forces" multies but he's actually saying something! That's why I hold SH in high regard.

you're going to tell me joell doesn't force stupid metaphors? i don't think slaughterhouse is bad by any means. but royce and joell get shitted on consistently by budden and crooked. and budden's solo stuff is better than anything he's done with slaughterhouse

i understand that solo stuff will oftentimes be better but with budden it's almost like he doesn't even care when he's with SH as compared to the type of stuff he writes for himself.

eminem at least had some d12 verses worth listening to. i'm not a big fan of d12 or slaughterhouse or really any group for that matter. you always have one or two that outshine the rest making 3/4 or 1/2 or whatever of the song(s) worthless.

cause slaughterhouse influence him with those shit punchlines.

by em working with them will not bring him back to his old style.

IMO he's gotta stick with d12 or hang around budden and fuck the rest off!

Em's punchline binge started with Drop The World, well before there was any real footage or knowledge of Em signing them or even hanging out with them, so no, they aren't influencing him to make shitty punchlines :facepalm

Second, back to his old style? No, I'd rather hear something new. Eminem WILL NEVER REPEAT THE STYLES FROM SSLP, MMLP TES - ever. It wouldn't make sense, each album was the way they were for specific reasons.

If Em went back to SSLP/MMLP style, he wouldn't be evolving as an artist. I'd rather hear his new innovation to them rather than reciprocating it 100%.

He said he wanted to go back to the two first albums in an interview for Relapse.

So have 'punchlines' and 'wordplay' come to be synonymous or something?
