Seems to be a nice split in this forum between United and City for Sunday...as long as we don't lose AGAIN in the 98th minute I'll be content.

FreeDoom wrote:I am pretty confident that I am the one who has visited the Bridge most on this site, Im also probably (Tho not sure) The last one on this site who went there as well. I can positively say that we have 2 stands that make some noise during games (The shed end & Matthew Harding stand). However the bridge is set up poorly in terms of sound travelling. You can barely hear the noise of a opposite stand even when sound is being made so it is sometimes hard to judge the noise that actually is going on.
However I stand by the fact that a good 95% of home grounds are quiet as fuck anyway and are always out sung by away fans 99% of the time. Name me a top club who does make a ton of noise each home game? There isn't one. As alluded to above they become "tourist" venue's and it hurts atmosphere incredibly. You sacrifice success for home atmosphere to a degree. I can only recall (Since RA taking over) 3 times when the stadium was rocking with every single stand making noise. It is a shame but too many people kid themselves into believing it is a Bridge problem rather than anywhere else.
I have been to the Emirates, Quiet until the last 5 mins and they where sure they had won the game
I have been to Old Trafford, Quiet until the last 5 mins being out sung by Chelsea fans even tho we played piss poor and lost 3-0
I have been to Anfield, There is a reason most away fans sing "Where's your famous atmosphere" whenever you go there, They are the quietest of the bunch these days regardless of what the score is.
In fairness to Man City I have been there a few times spaced apart each other. I had a lot of fun the first time as they where loud and offered a lot of banter, There atmosphere is on the decline tho compared to more recent visits, I can't be surprised though as they are becoming more successful hence the "tourist" thing.
Only 2 teams who are currently in the prem (Off the top of my head) have really impressed me with there home atmosphere (I have been to most grounds but not all) and they are Stoke and Newcastle.

I've been there. I haven't actually been to many stadiums though. I've been to Stamford Bridge, Upton Park and The Valley (when they were in the Premiership). I do want to go Wembley at some stage.
I knew you had been but I imagined due to me being older and having had season tickets there etc I was bound to of been more
