Are you serious?! Million Dollar Baby, The Fighter last year, and this year The Warrior. And last week it was "Reel Steel" with Hugh Jackman. Hollywood is in a extremely lazy mood and is recycling ideas. I'm a fan but I'm not seeing a freakin boxing movie that has been done dozens of time before--not a good comeback film

Can't believe people can be this blind.. Girl, you gotta read the news before you make statements. Eminem & his management was involved in accepting the Southpaw script. And when his representative confirmed the Random Acts of Violence rumor to the press early this year, he said

"Eminem's producing team -- including his manager, Paul Rosenberg -- have been developing this project for some time. Everyone involved hopes that it comes to fruition and the film goes into production."

Eminem is definitely interested in doing films. He has said so in numerous interviews since his comeback & that he's just looking for a script that feels right and connects. Eminem likes boxing & the whole fitness thing and the movie is about a champion boxer's rise to the top after being at the bottom which is basically Eminem's story now. And the RAOF script where he plays an ex-con working for the FBI is definitely interesting & I'd love to see Em in a role like that.

BTW, its official, Southpaw just got picked up by MGM-Sony. Production will begin next year. The film is being produced by Alan Riche & Peter Riche along with Paul Rosenberg and Stuart Parr (Shady Films). Eminem’s manager David Schiff will be the executive producer. Yay! :boxing: :boxing:

If he is gonna work early next year then what about his next solo Album ?

You could wait until 2013.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

Well, he shot for 8 Mile and completed The Eminem Show (including production) and worked on the 8 Mile soundtrack simultaneously before, so I think he can work on both the movie & record music this time also, but the question is whether he is going to release his solo album next year or even early 2013. He's got this year & early 2012 filled with the Yelawolf & Slaughterhouse albums. I think 2012 won't have an Em solo album, but a soundtrack to Southpaw is definitely on the cards. And D12's next album will definitely have to be released before Em's next, 'cause I think Em will do it that way & I can't really see four consecutive Em albums without a D12 album in between.

I would personally like Em to take all the time in the world and produce a decent solo album instead of another Recovery or H:TS kind of album that lacks perfection, but a part of me says that Eminem will want to release an album before he turns 40, but that realistically speaking seems improbable considering the aforementioned reasons.

I'm just looking forward to some un-wack, quality music from Em in the future.

A lot of the links/pics I've posted in the last year or so, if they're dead, there is a probability that I have archived it on Archive.today.

That's a lot of things then ,but that's not going to be the actual picture tbh.The Movie goes on floor in early 2012 ,the Movie would come out maybe in 2013 + Soundtrack. That leaves some space for him to fit in a solo Album.

Calm your tits, boy.
Making a movie is not something that happens in two weeks. So, I won't believe it until I actually see it. Because there are still a lot of things that can go wrong.

And Eminem in a boxing movie is actually a pretty bad idea.
But, we will se when the movie comes out.

Nothing is a bad idea, only badly executed. If done right, this could be a really good film.

I guess Sajn meant boxing movies with Eminem on it. ;)

Filming for this movie maybe takes 2-3 months, so Em will have 9-10 months to do other things, so don't worry. Yela will be out soon. 50 in Desember. SH in February and a D12 album in August or something. Then maybe a Em album in November or something.
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.
