While most of you believe you have mastered the complex forms of words and structure utilised in the vocabulary of an affluent or upper class british person, i fear that this is not the case and that you (reffering to BBB) are very much mistaken and your misconceptions of english being a relatively simple language, are, to be blunt, wrong. I feel that if you took the time to study in great detail the adjustments on words and their order, and the extended vocabulary that some Anglo people tend to use, you would realise that it is in no way a simple matter, and that lots of the words have double meanings. To conclude, i put it to you that all of you are aware of, and are capable of using standard, basic english, however you havent considered that there is more to it than you currently are familiar with.

being picky I would say that they don't sound exactly the same, but I think for a foreign it would be almost impossible to differentiate.

Don't know if this was just supposed to be funny or if there's some seriousness to it, but I agree. I love to learn new english words and to develop my english. And I looke up some words every now and then to make sure I spell it right. And I know I probably sound like a cave man at times but hey, like you said, it's not my first language!

I haven't been to America (yet) but from listening to music, watching a ton of movies and series, I can tell you this: It's 10 times more difficult understanding british english than it is american. With a few exceptions I always use American accent when I talk.

@Eva, not sure if the question is for me, but in spanish B and V are the same, in english sounds a bit different. but in spanish it sounds the same, there are some rules to know which words are with v and which with b , for example after an "M" is always a "B ". never a "V" but sometimes you just have to memorize which words are with b and v.
