What if Proof never died, would Eminem continue being the pill popping addict he was or would he be dead at this point?

I made a thread asking this question haha.

I don't think he would be dead at this point, though. He'd be alive and well.. and release some more classic albums.

It'd probably've been the greatest album of all time.

If Eminem stayed with his Infinite style, he would not be successful now.

If Eminem signed with Rawkus, he would probably be very well respected in the underground but not commercially huge.

You're also forgetting though that he WAS very well respected in the underground, fans are just retards and anybody who gets too famous is automatically a 'sell-out' and rap fans find reasons to deny their talent or try and say they're no longer credible.

Eminem would be called a sell-out, a pop rapper and lose respect REGARDLESS of who he signed with, if he still became as famous as he did.

If he would have stayed with Rawkus...

Well, he would have gotten fucked by Rawkus and eventually end up on Def Jux. The Cage beef would have never been an issue, and we would all have most likely heard him on tracks with Aesop Rock, Cage, and El-P.

He certainly would not have been more famous, but it probably would have lined up better with what he was originally shooting for. Of course, by this time he would be unsigned, and negotiating a deal to either go full independent or release the next album on Fat Possum or something.
