God damn that game was awesome! We came back twice and won with two goals. RvP scored more PL goals at Stamford Bridge yesterday than Torres have for Chelsea since he came. Hahahaha!

I'd 8-2 be cheering a win for Arsenal when they haven't won anything for 5+ years!

Torres has scored 3 goals in the league since he joined. 1 last season, 2 this season. So Van Persie matched Torres, he didn't score more. Torres is finally getting back into form anyway, he was awful last season but he's a different player now. Even when he hasn't scored, he's setup a few goals.

Exactly. It was a solid performance from Arsenal no doubt. We'll still have more to cheer about at the end of the season.

Ohhhh, here's one! 8-2 = how long it's been since Arsenal won a trophy!

I have nothing negative to say about Van Persie though, I think he's immense. Fantastic player. I wonder if he'll end up leaving though?

Idon't care about that 8-2 game, especially when after City beat United 6-1. And we'll see who will ve the better team when Chelsea lose Drogba, Lampard and Terry. Oh, and Roman lmao.

And yeah, it's been 6 years. Will be 6 years for you as well.
I honestly can't see Chelsea improve for the next 2-3 years to come. Mata, Sturrige, Cashley and Luiz. Those are the players I'd rate high when the old guys leave. And Torres is starting to look better and better. I really like him and hope he does great.

I'm not even convinced Chelsea will take 3rd place. We've had a terrible start but we've got 7 wins out of the last 8 games and at the moment we don't even have Sagna (PL's best rb if you ask me) and Wilshere. We've got a world class GK aged 21. Wilshere's 19. I mean, RvP ain't even 30. I think Arsenal's future looks brighter than Chelseas tbh. And we've alteady got the stadium and all that.

If arsenal spent some money they would be fighting for the title this year. Add Fabregas, Nasri, Adebayor, Clichy and Toure to your team and it's much better. But you didn't spend any money which forced these players to move to clubs with more ambition. It's Wenger's fault tbh.

Yeah right. Bullshit. United's team was CONSIDERABLY cheaper than City's. if we consider the bench as well our squad is about half your squad's worth with City costing over €304.4 excluding so many of your expensive flops (Robinho, Adebayor, Roque Santa Cruz etc) and players sold at a loss Ireland, Bellamy etc. http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editor ... 01m-riches

Now United squad was
De Gea---------------- 16 mil
Rio Ferdinand-------- 30 mil
Smalling--------------- 12 mil
Evra------------------- 5.5 mil
Jonny Evans---------- free
Nani------------------- 25 mil
Ashely Young--------- 15 mil
Darren Fletcher------- free
Anderson-------------- 17 mil
Rooney---------------- 30 mil
Walbeck-------------- free
Javier hernandez---- 6 Mil
Phil Jones------------ 16.5 mil

That, is considerably cheaper and more youthful. No, i wont make the false assumption that we have a better squad as City has taught us a valuable lesson in humility over the last 50 years by accepting United as the bigger Manchester team. But, dont try deny blatant facts- city has used close to a billion dollars in trying to win titles since the owner's takeover. You have NO reserves, a terrible scouting network, Boyata is the most promising youngster and the fans are either bitter United haters or glory hunters. Deal with it.

I doubt Roman will be leaving anytime soon but when he eventually does, Chelsea should be in a solid financial position. That's the whole point to this proposal for a new stadium; to bring in additional revenue. Roman also cleared all of Chelsea's debts, again, putting us in a much better position for when he does leave. I don't see him leaving anytime soon anyway.

Drogba doesn't even play a major role anymore, we have Torres, Sturridge and Mata who are the now permanent figures in our striking force. Those 3 are amongst the best in the league. Torres is one of the best strikers in the world at his best and he's now finding his form. Sturridge is very promising, Man City were stupid not to keep him. Mata.. does he even need an explanation? Such a huge talent.

Also, Chelsea no longer reply on Lampard. Granted he plays a huge role but Chelsea do not rely on him like they used to.

Terry will be hard to replace though.

6 years for Chelsea to win our next trophy? I highly doubt that.

Chelsea have a lot of young talent which gets overlooked. Josh, Romeu, Betrand, Thibaud Courtois, Lukaku, Piazon (who's joining soon) amongst overs. It used to be correct about Chelsea having an old squad, but it's just not the case anymore.

Arsenal have had a young squad for 6+ years.. when will this "bright future" come? My mates used to tell me that a 3+ years ago. The best players you have helped develop have left for better squads. Fabregas, Nasri etc. Wenger does have a good eye for talent though, I'll give him that.

I wouldn't class Szczesny as world class though.

we call City 'bitter' because of their bitterness, jealousy, and envy towards United's success.

I'm not denying the 'rags',but the different reasons behind it..
some say its during the time United played at Maine Road, that United use to borrow rags from City,to use as kit,
others say United started calling themselves the rags first, because our kits looked like rag,
now you're saying its because of our low support and our near bankruptcy, during the 20s.
plus the other reasons I've heard..

it seems city supporters don't even know the origin of the word 'rag',they just throw it around for the sake of it,then fabricate their own version of how the term came about....if you want to continue to call United 'rags',even after all we've achieved(the most supported football club the the world and the most valuable sporting franchise in the world, then, you lot should at least come up with a collective reason behind it..

Cheers mate.

I said starting line-ups:

De Gea---------------- 16 mil (age 20)
Rio Ferdinand-------- 30 mil (age 32)
Evra------------------- 5.5 mil (age 30)
Smalling----------------12mil (age 21)
Jonny Evans---------- free (age 23)
Nani------------------- 25 mil (age 24)
Ashely Young--------- 15 mil (age 26)
Darren Fletcher------- free (age 27)
Anderson-------------- 17 mil (age 23)
Rooney---------------- 30 mil (age 26)
Walbeck-------------- free (age 20)
= £150.5 mil. Average age of 24.7.

Hart------------- 500k (24)
Clichy-----7mil (26)
Lescott-----24 mil (29)
Kompany----6 mil (25)
Richards------free (23)
Silva-----25mil (25)
Toure-----30 mil (28)
Barry----12 mil (30)
Milner----24 mil (25)
Balotelli----22 mil (21)
Aguero-----38 mil (23)

= £188mil. Average age of 25.3

Yes, City's starting line-up was an incredible £37.5million more expensive than United's, and even more shocklingly, was on average 0.6 years older!!!. Our team truly is a team of old men.

momentsgolden wrote:City has taught us a valuable lesson in humility over the last 50 years by accepting United as the bigger Manchester team.

We were the best team in the country for some time in the 70s, but I wouldn't expect you to know that as you probably think football started in 1992. I also don't think United and humility should ever go in the same sentence (apart from this one).

momentsgolden wrote:But, dont try deny blatant facts- city has used close to a billion dollars in trying to win titles since the owner's takeover. You have NO reserves

Our starting line up cost £188 million yet we have spent £1Billion in trying to win titles, but we have no reserves? What have we spent the money on then? The stupidity is amazing. Think before you write.

momentsgolden wrote:the fans are either bitter United haters or glory hunters. Deal with it.

Glory hunters? Before last season we hadn't won a trophy for 35 years. What on earth are you talking about? :facepalm Especially coming from somebody from Zimbabwe. Bet you are a regular at the Theatre of Dreams, eh? I've been to over 200 city games, what about you mate?

I'll leave the last thought for Mr Edin Dzeko:

correction

De Gea =18 not 16

Rooney = 26 not 30
Nani = 17 not 25

but we shouldn't be comparing player price to be honest..

Mate why you bothered about being called rags? It's just a term we've used for years and quite clearly there was some reason for it at the start but it's just a nickname and isn't even an insult. Far better than 'Munichs' anyway.

As for being bitter, City fans would rather cut their own eyes out than support United. Trust me, there is no jealousy. You will never see a City team collapse as pathetically as you lot did on Sunday. 1-6.

It doesn't bother me much to be honest.

yes, I'm aware 'rags' is a nickname and not as classless as the 'Munich'

and I don't mind us collapsing once in decades,as long as the trophies keeps rolling in.

World class perfomance tonight. Fully deserved victory, Pardew got virtually everything spot on tactically. The defence as a whole were immense, Guthrie, Jonas and obviously Ba were also top draw.

Away support was brilliant as usual - Stoke's famous atmosphere was nowhere to be seen, they sung about 3 times during the whole match, don't even think I heard Delilah once.

3rd in the league, ahead of Chelsea, point behind Man United. Unreal.

It's hilarious having to watch all the 'experts' having to backtrack, after saying we've been 'lucky' or 'haven't played anyone decent'. What many would say is the hardest away game in the league, we passed with flying colours. Brilliant.

Pulis must feel like an idiot as well, criticisng Ba and reducing the pitch size only helped us. Fucking frowny, capped cunt.
