I was quite young, and for some reason, Stan and Guilty Conscience had kinda slipped my radar. I was in the car, and Stan came on and just blew my mind. I could hear and understand every-word and I just thought: damn. This is something more than music. This is art.

My reaction to hearing Guilty Conscience in 2000 I was like ''this white boy can rap'' :o
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

First started to notice him around after the time Eminem Show dropped. I heard Lose Yourself and Without me on the radio, and was sucked in.

The first time I heard him when i was a kid. That was TES. I didn't speak English at that time so i liked his music cause a lot of people did that and songs like Cleanin Out My Closet, Without Me were catchy

I was 12 when The Real Slim Shady was all over the TV. I didn't listen much music that time and I was like ehh :coffee:
2 years later I saw the Lose Yourself video and I was about to take a shit in my pants :o that was fucking hilarious :worship: Next day I went through all the audio shops I knew about in my town and bought 3 or 4 tapes (there was no full albums just bootlegs).
And that's how it began... :smoking:
Ted Bundy did it, John Gasey did it, Jeffery Dahmer did it, Jim Baker did it, Jimmy Swaggart did it, Lil Rick did it... And why me can't do it? :confusion:

I thought he was cool when I was a kid.

Then I "forgot" about him.. And when Relapse came out I was like 15, I had good english skills so I decided to listen to Relapse. Then I downloaded his full discography and I was in love with his music, his words. :flutter:

Discovering Eminem during the summer > *

It gives a nostalgic feeling that you won't never forget. NEVER.

Then I was lurking on this forum and saw there were other tracks, that I didn't know.. No Apologies, etc..
And now I can say i'm a good Stan since I have heard a lot of his tracks.

Oh and Lose Yourself + 8 Mile.. Fucking amazing. I loved that movie as soon as I saw it.

Well, I certainly heard him when he was in his prime, I remember Lose Yourself being played constantly, and it was my favorite song. However, at the times I was like 7 so I couldn't really pin-point what it was I liked about it, and kept moving.

It wasn't until Recovery that I was sucked in. I had gotten pretty sick and had tons of time to start listening to music, and my brother had downloaded a few songs from Recovery. So I listened to them, and really liked them. That made me download his stuff from all of Recovery, and when that was over, I listened to all of The Eminem Show. Listening to Recovery, I was like "Damn, Em's incredible, how do you top this music?", and then I listened to TES and went "How the fuck?!?" Been a huge fan ever since.
