Colours of Music

For me, the color depends on the albumcover.

It was a thread about it few months ago.

Like... The Eminem Show is red, so I get that color/feeling in my head when I listen to a TES-song. Blue is Encore, A little darker blue is SSLP and MMLP is black/grey... dark.

perhaps you have that. which is really cool, jimi hendrix had it. the main chord from 'purple haze', he would always describe it as sounding 'purple'. are you a musician? it could be useful if you were.

Dude I've been wanting to say this for years but I never knew how I could say it right haha. but yeah I see like mostly blue on all of relapse. Except for a few tracks and on TES I see red on most tracks except for Hailies song (where I see blue)

As you can see, SSLP is to the far left, while Recovery is on the far right. In-between is MMLP, TES, Encore and Relapse. In order to satify all of his fans, his last album would have to look like this:

I honestly don't have that too. I said yellow for under the influence because I imagined Eminem in a yellow tracksuit.

It's all perception, there is no right or wrong answer. For example, one person might say Under the Influence is yellow, another might say grey. It is based on what you feel and that is determined on the kind of person you are. I think Eminem took what he felt and chose that color for his cover. For example, TES was mostly red, imo anyway. I see different shades, for example Sing for the Moment is dark red while something like..... Without Me is a very light red. The only time I get a different color than red in TES is Hailie's Song, i get blue. In MMLP the only one to me that is not a shade of grey is The Real Slim Shady, I get purple. If don't count black as a shade of grey then The Way I Am isn't there either. All of SSLP is light blue or purple for me. Then encore is dark blue, relapse being white, orange, red, black. Very diverse relapse was to me. And Recovery was the most diverse. So many colors. I guess you could say on TES and MMLP the colors that are project as the same as the rest were the songs that didn't fit the rest of the record.

I definitely see colors when I listen to music. You can see that reflected on the signatures I've made. Some that jump immediately to mind is Stay Wide Awake (blueish-cyan), Echo (white/gray, dark green/ blue), Till I Collapse (Maroon), JDGAF (purple), The Reunion (Green/Gold), Amityville (yellow), etc.

I can sorta feel colors for songs, letters, and numbers, but I can't describe why. Some don't give me any color at all. I think Em is in touch with what you're talking about though, because the colors of the albums seem to fit perfectly with the content, in my opinion. The Slim Shady LP is the only one that I might have tweaked the colors for a bit. I guess the conflict in my mind is caused by the fact that I see the word "Slim Shady" as a dark yellow, because S's are dark yellow for me. I don't know; it's weird.
