Wow. I can't believe this. After just a few more listens I have finally come to the realization that this song here is...

the indisputable worst song of 2011 in any genre.

Seems that the die-hard Stans are the ones who really detest this song. The music media, including hip hop, think that it's al-right.

I wonder if these are the same fans who hated the BME EP & got upset that Em hasn't dramatically changed his style/mind-state since then.

I'm assuming my Detox R.I.P thread post inspired this post... After "Throw It Up," what I've observed is that the "Recovery Stans" love this song, like they do all songs regardless of their quality, mostly because they like the Recovery Eminem and probably haven't listened to his discography & most of the real, knowledgeable fans, like many on this forum, seem to like the song, which I found surprising & it was certainly unexpected... And as you say, the hip-hop crowd everywhere seems to be digging this joint too... I guess the original 'stans' just find it difficult to accept Em's new style & his subject-matter..

I personally did dislike H: TS, tbh got upset that Em dramatically changed his style & am not a fan of "A Kiss." And though Throw It Up sounds like a hybrid-version of "A Kiss," I don't actually hate the song, I just don't like it.. The thing with both the songs is he doesn't flow well at many points & the rhyme structure is poor overall - and that ruins the songs for me.... I feel after Recovery, Eminem went downhill with the "Roman's Revenge" collabo & the barrage of awkward/wack punchlines.. and the rapid fire rhyme delivery.. :(

A lot of the links/pics I've posted in the last year or so, if they're dead, there is a probability that I have archived it on Archive.today.

I love Recovery and I probably fall into the Recovery stan category yet I think this song is beyond awful and worse than 60% of Encore.

This song can't be defended by anyone. It's just flat-out disgusting. People who like this song only enjoy it due to personal preference matters, but there is truly no way of substantially defending this track because it's abysmal. The music media, blogs etc. know shit about Hip Hop, they'll like a song based purely on the beat or based on the fact that it's EMINEM.

For what? For bashing an Eminem song which is clearly horrible?

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but I can't get banned for that. I'm sure this piece of information is gonna cause sleepless nights but the truth hurts. Plus, it's not my fault that TR is soft as fuck.
