It's actually made to serve that purpose, I guess. It's always seen that he has delivered a solid verse with the Artists of his own label, but this time he chose to tone down a little.
That seems veeeerry far fetched. Who in their right mind drops an intentionally wack verse. He has no reason to intentionally piss us off and theres a 90% chance he doesnt know who "we" are. He's always delivered solid verses to artists on his own label because it used to be "he always delivered solid verses," there never was an emphasis on his own labels artists and nobody has ever mentioned that before. The skit implies nothing, the only thing that it implies is that he thought he killed it. This would actually make sense since he is releasing the verse and when asked about it in an interview Yela says that Em killed it.
Not trying to be negative here but I really don't see the straws you guys are grasping for. It's not that big of a deal Ems released multiple wack verses post Recovery.
No it's not what you make it out to be. The song is question is not whack, it's average. How can we assume that this was not done intensionally? This is Yela's Debut Album and a hot verse could have helped him gain more attention and the Album would have sold more. It becomes clearly evident that he toned down for a purpose, which at the moment is still unknown. Sometimes I feel that he didn't want to outshine Yela due to certain criticism or he just wanted to piss of the fans and have everyone talking. The Skit is surely an indicator to what I said, there's a lot of irony in his statements when he says "
I killed that shit", seems that he just accepting that he deliberately goofed up this song.He was just getting these facts in a light manner.
