Do you have problems staying logged in?

Postby TRshady » May 9th, '06, 08:41

Some of us here were having problems staying logged in and after changing a few settings all should be working now but you will need to carry out these steps:

1. Clear your cookies and internet temp files
( make sure you do not have the forum open otherwise this will not work! )

2. Close the browser completely

3. Open the window and come back to the forum

4. Enter your correct username and password then hit the ' Log me on automatically each visit' tickbox

5. Tis all .. should be able to visit without loggin in from now on.

If you are still having problems, and have done the steps above (especially making sure the forum is not open in your browser before you clear the cookies), then please pm me letting me know what browser you are using and your firewall, if using any.

If the steps are not working, make sure you do not have the forum open. Put your browser on google.com for example when clearing the cookies.
If it still doesn't work then it could be a pc problem and something such as a firewall (or your browser) is preventing the cookies from being set.

How are you visiting the forum Hunneh Buns?
Do you type in the URL, click the link from the main page etc?

I've changed the homepage to a new coding method to rule that out but try this for me.

1. Clear cookies in the same way mentioned in the first post
2. Log into the forum and tick the 'auto' box
3. Close the browser, reopen it and type in trshady.com/phpbb2/

If going straight to the forum doesn't work then it really must be down to your computer as mine is working fine now and I've tested this forum in school and at the home of three friends with no problems
