Sukot wrote:I don't think it can be Em doing the tweeting himself. To me it reads like someone trying to type "urban" when they don't usually. Just how everything is gramatically correct with a random "u" or "dawg" thrown in every now and then. :D Plus, I don't think Em would understand the hash-tags since he's barely used Twitter before.

But it's great promotion anyway!

Only 10 questions though. :( I was hoping he'd ask 21 like 50 Cent.

I do that on BookFace.

Smart promotional idea. Em has 7 million followers. Imagine if just half of them bought Yela's album. I hope he sells well but I don't know if he had a good enough lead single and hopefully all the talk about people not liking Throw It Up doesn't make the casual fan dismiss the rest of the album.

BTW:

Yela's recently done a ret-tweet for this:

"@Eminem Tuesday Meet @Yelawolf with @DjGregStreet at North Georgia Cd on Beaver Ruin/Nawfside ATL & Get "Radio Active" Signed By Yelawolf"

http://twitter.com/#!/djgregstreet/stat ... 2886032384

What do you think, will there be an interview tomorrow or something?

Exactly. I remember in an interview for Recovery he was pissing about saying "follow me on Twitter" and "I tweet daily hommie" lmao. I'm sure he's used it and tweeted a few times. This could very well be him.

Nice little promo idea.

Radioactive ain't gonna sell much.

They made awful single choices.

"Radio" should of been the 1st single I think, with "Made in the U.S.A." as the second. Both songs have awesome hooks and concepts that would of resonated. Also, I think "Slumerican Shitizen" should of been the third single. It's ballsy and raw and those three tracks I think solidify the overall sound and would really offer the mainstream something refreshing.

"Slumerican Shitizen" sounds punk and yet it's still rap, it's a gritty, classic track.

This is the problem with the industry and even Em now... rather than just trying to do original and creative things and force those things to be popular, they're trying to predict what is going to be popular and mould their style around it. And failing. Well Em isn't, but others do and will.

Should of kept "No Hands" on it too, one of the best songs. Class concept.

Just watched a block of Yelawolf videos on MTV Jams. So maybe they're doin a little more promo than I thought. Just seems like a lot of the promo for him is more under the radar type stuff.

I loved the singles though.... Hard White Up is still one of my favourites. But, i agree- radio would have made a good single too

Yela has to much competition. He is #10 on itunes and Rihanna just released a album on the same day

I'm going to say it again, the lead single SHOULD have been Write Your Name, do you know how many emo bitches would relate to themselves and post it on facebook? "Oh this shitzzzz relates to my life, #WriteMyNameYela" He'd get that LLWYL crowd, he'd get the hardcore crowd with Growin' in the Gutter, Hard White, In This World, or Slumerican Shitizen.

Singles should have, imo, gone in this order:

1.) Growin' in the Gutter (Shits good for his hardcore fans, better than Hard White)
2.) Write My Name
3.) Made in the USA
4.) Radio

5.) Everything I Love the Most (Great to be released around summer and you still wanna milk it)
6.) In This World (kinda fades it out on a strong note, again it'd be major milking)

That's true... has that always been 100%? But then again, Em didn't respond to the jokes on Twitter, so...

@Man1x, agreed 100%. I've said that for the longest time. Teen girls are definitely a factor for sales, and if he gets LTWYL fans, he's already set.

I mean, they only listen to the hook and they'll interpret the rest their own way cause it's that kind of hook but it won't happen with songs like "Made in the USA" hook's cause it only sounds good to them, it doesn't express their feelings, radio would be a fun song but it'd die out fast in their attention spans because fun doesn't last as long as broken hearts and sad stories in a teen girls mind. Yela better get this through his fucking head when picking his singles, or his label, whoever does it.

I think it's Yela, since the single choices aren't great. Couldn't be Em, because he's got the experience to know what certain listeners will like. Teen girls dwell on heart broken-type songs.
