Hex Murda Talks About Eminem's Recovery

Postby JAGODA » Nov 24th, '11, 21:52

DX: When we last interviewed you, you had mixed feelings about Eminem's Relapse album. Did you think differently of Recovery?

Hex Murda: Eminem hit Recovery out of the park. Relapse only had about three records I really fucked with: "Underground," "Medicine Ball," and 'Beautiful." I let Recovery play in its entirety with no skips, and it stayed in the disc changer, along with How I Got Over and the Random Axe CD before it was released. To me, Recovery is the best Eminem album since The Marshall Mathers LP. Understand this: when you're listening to Eminem you're listening to one of the greats. For real.

That's nice to see some love for Recovery at this time. :8)

True, but remember, this is his opinion. There's people in this world who think the guy sold out and fell off as soon as he made MMLP.

I just found out about him too. All I knew about him before is that he and Royce chat on Twitter. Didn't know he was from the D and had all this info on him.

Well if that's the case then I don't respect it one bit, this opinion is just based on the commercial success and not on the effort that was put behind making each of these Album's.

And people who say that he fell off after MMLP are trolling. I mean c'mon....

Today it may be crazy to think that. But back in the day many people were saying he went soft and sold out when The Eminem Show came out.

The same will happen in 10 years or so, then Recovery will get the recognition.

I remember when the Eminem Show came out and most fans were saying he fell off and went pop but that changed over the years.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

Yeah!

People come to their senses a little bit late, I guess. The fucking opinions of Critics/Musicians as read on the Internet or Mag are pretty fucked up now a days.

True, but like people said earlier, people thought he went soft after TES and sold out. And TES was one of the greatest albums he ever made.

Makes you wonder in 3 years whether Recovery and Relapse will become that way, like in "Careful What You Wish For".

That's why "Careful What You Wish For" is one the most relevant song since his come back, not only does this talk about the truth, but also comes to show that Eminem is aware of this fact.

It kinda set the records straight with the people who actually made that statement.

The way Eminem weighs his Career in his Music is phenomenal.Very few Artist actually are so Retrospect about their work.

So true, and maybe that's why he's so chill with his reception reviews, because I also read at the time, people hated MMLP for its extreme content. Now it's a legendary album.
