Ahhhhh! There's Matt with his expert opinion.

I can't accept the fact that some one calls the High Light song of Relapse boring. :sweating:

You know me so well. I should start though, join Amadeo in making radical claims.

On the real though, maybe it was because of the context i heard the song but it just sounded like a drag with that self-pity hook and that slow moving story. Yes, Eminem has loads of that Emo / Sob story songs but the combination of having heard Beautiful first (which i like) endured My Mom and Bagpipes from Baghdad i had almost little to no attentive interest in the song. Technically and individually it may be good (even brilliant as this forum will lead you to believe) but as a part of relapse, it had very little discernable identity. It failed to stand out imho

MB on the other hand was a mediocre song which barely got any replays after first listen. However, the superman dialogue was really funny and i did chuckle. Its similar to Insane- as Eminem would say, "Its Slim Shady, it was funny and it was light. But after a few listens the joke was over"

Personally, Relapse's best song is My Darling. The content might be old but the way he tackled it felt fresh and new and individually exhilarating. Others i like are Same Song & Dance, Beautiful, Underground and Careful What you Wish For.

My thoughts on this is the exact opposite. I believe Deja Vu as name goes portrays the the time frame when he was about to Relapse and was doing horrendous things that not only affected him, but also bothered his whole family. He some what was trying to say that, he knew what was gonna come if took those pills and eat all the junk food, but some how couldn't refrain from it. As the hook suggests that he just wanted to be let alone, locked in his room where he could do drugs or w/e he wanted to do.

See, the concept of the song goes well with the theme that Relapse tried to achieve. The hook was rendered by Eminem himself, the beat is also catchy. I don't see the point that would suggest that this song is boring as far as I'm concerned.

But it's your opinion so cool... :D
