Fuse Interview: On being signed to Shady Records:
"Just a comparison would be, you know, in Rock & Roll, to sign with Robert Plant, you know...have Robert Plant sittin' in the studio, just chillin' with you.. Artistically it's an honor to have him (Eminem) around, it's like becoming a part of musical history, like, just by association really."
VladTV Interview: On being in the studio with Em:
"It's fun, you know. It's funny most of the time. A lot of laughing goes down... A lot of funny shit happens in the studio... I mean, for the most part, for me, it's just kinda like soaking up the genius & trying to just huddle myself & be there, listen. When I'm in there writing, there's a real mutual respect. It's great working with Em. He's the man, I mean he's the greatest, period."
When asked about the most valuable thing he's learned from Em in life or in music:
"(Laughs) Em really doesn't talk to me on that type of shit. We haven't kicked it like that, like, you know, fully... We've had some great conversations but as far as life lessons & (laughs) I don't know, we ain't really gotten that deep. I think I've taken more from him just by watching and payin' attention, you know. .closely when he talks, when he's talkin' about a record, when he's talkin about a hook idea or he's talking about arrangement or he's talking about something to add to the music. I'm just soaking in 'why?', you know..
Obviously there's a damn good reason why he wants to do this.. It's like figuring out why that makes sense, you know - how it made the record better or how..you know.. or just by vicariously watching his life through his music and.. for what the public has seen, 'cause I mean, I've seen just like everybody else, I'm just a fan, you know so, I've taken from that artistically, you know.. It's helped get me up, it's given me a lot to work with - looking up to what he's done & surviving in this game so far.. and ususally when I tell him certain situations that I might me going through, I've told him a couple times, he'll just be like 'Welcome to the game buddy,' you know that's pretty much it..that's kinda how it is, you know..."
NY Mag interview: On the non-musical advise Eminem's given him:
"The best advice he's given is kind of letting you live through it. A lot of this shit is new to me. He's basically just said, 'Welcome to the game, buddy.'"
