I think it is a catch 22 situation...Roman wants attractive attacking football that brings success but doesn't want to wait for it. Problem is we do not have the players who are set up for them types of systems at all. So only answer is to trust a manager and splash out on players. BUT with new rules around the corner that is not possible either. Got to accept a transitional period imo.I think we should revert back to our strengths while getting some players in and slowly build into this new style of play.We honestly have some players who look so lost in this system it is like we are jumping in at the deep end...

Exactly. Roman wants attractive football and so does AVB. As you said, we don't have the players (bar a couple) who fit the system.

Chelsea have great players,the formation is wrong though,the approach is wrong,the way they are playing doesnt work with the players.

plus i just noticed that terry is 31,hes young for a defender,he should be playing a lot better,i thought he was like 37.

Im not fully sure tbh,Gut feeling tells me tho that AVB has very little time to get this right. Have a feeling he will get the axe. Which is something I hate about supporting Chelsea.It is acted like it is a Roman thing but we have always sacked managers at bizzare times for at least the last...15-20 years.

I don't care what anyone says, Roman cares a lot for this club. I know it's counter-productive but sacking managers does in ways support that. What other chairman would fork out €13m to sign a manager? Not many.

I reckon AVB will get next season to sort things out or he's off. Surely we can spend in Jan and the summer? If that's the only time we can do it until Fair Play, we need to get it done. Tbh I've been reading and Fair Play isn't going completely destroy Chelsea's spending power. As an article I was reading put it "big clubs will always find a way around the rules". I'm not quite sure how they'd find a way around Fair Play though lmao.

If we want to play this system (which they both want to) then we need to splash the cash one last time on young players who fit it. It's a simple as that. Open your cheque book Roman and AVB get looking for some talent.

He's pretty much guaranteed a year mate. If he gets sacked before Christmas I'd be very surprised. We just need to splash out on players who fit that system.

City have pretty much won the league tbh. I don't see you slowing down much at all. Especially if you get knocked out of the CL.
