Sales do not indicate the greatness of a song
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Love the way you lie is one of em's gayest songs and Lose Yourself if overrated and overplayed.

Why do you people bash LTWYL? It is successful because Rihanna is on it. That is why EVERYBODY want crazy over the song. The song is great. Not as great as Lose Yourself.

Why do you think LTWYL sold so much? It's got a catchy Rihanna hook.

It wouldn't have been so successful in the charts and on the radio if it came out this year. Hip hop is doing really badly commercially atm. If Lose Yourself was released this year, it would've probably peaked at #5 or something.

Also, I'd say in Europe, Stan was also probably as big as LTWYL.

I was going to say this also. It would probably be received as well as Not Afraid and that debuted at #1c though that had a lot to do with the fact it was his lead single (Stan Power!)

You can't really be comparing sales from a single released in 2002 to one in 2010. The music industry has changed drastically since 02. What you could state is; "LTWYL is Em's most digitally downloaded single - ever", but to say the "most successful" is not very accurate, in my opinion. Oh, and remember, Lose Yourself earned an Oscar & 2 Grammy awards. LTWYL did not win any Grammy (and of course not an Oscar). My point is (i) there are different aspects to what "success" is, and (ii) it's not fair comparing sales of a single released in '02 to one in '10.

I hope his next CD has loads of features from pop artists. Clearly the best Eminem songs are the ones with people like Rihanna featured considering they have sold the most. Take "Stan" for example.

He should end his next CD with a re-done version of "Lose Yourself" with *dare I say it*.. justin bieber singing the chorus. Think about it. You read that and you're thinking I'm trolling, or an idiot, but it would spark a LOT of controversy and get people talking. Any publicity is good publicity. Plus, look at bieber's fans. Turn all of them onto Eminem and Eminem will get so fucking big that white chicks will say "Once you go black, or Eminem, you don't go back."

^But he should re-write the third verse. Lose yourself is amazing, but the third verse is pretty weak on Eminem's standards.
